I am having a hard time finding anyone else other than myself and my sisters that stayed up late to see Friday Night Videos. I did watch it back in the day. Sorry but I can't remember any specifics about it, too many video shows back then (i.e. Night Flight, Night Tracks, MTV.)

I did used to watch the show. Don't remember any specifics either, but I probably hoped to catch a Duran Duran video. I do remember once, that they had it on the radio and TV simultaneously, and that was cool because you could hear the music in stereo.

I don't remember watching Friday Night Videos in the 80's, but is this the same Friday Night Videos that was on NBC for 6 years with host Reta Sever that just ended?

EBG-- I think it was considered th same show, jut kind of evolved... back inthe 80's they didn't have a host that I remember, or skits like the recent version. Yes, I remember that "tron" looking like thing. I couldnt describe it that well. ha ha. I forgot that they used to have votes for different videos. I am sure that if Duran Duran was on, I voted, and probably my mother made me pay for it. But I am sure I didnt care. God, I never realized how much my memory is failing me. Yes, from 1983 to May of 1984 I never missed it. (We finally got cable in '84 and I was able to see MTV.) That is where I saw "Billie Jean", "Photograph", "Hungry Like the Wolf", and others for the first time. I remember when two of the Duran members were on there hosting.

I loved Friday Night Videos. Wish they were still on, but since a greater portion of current music isn't that great, probably better just to have the memories.

Yes I remember the show. They had different guests hosts every week. I didnt watch it that much because it was on late and since I wasnt a night owl I didnt watch it that much plus I had mtv and thats when they played music videos and was fun to watch.:mad:
