I didn't have time this week to find a new topic, so we will continue with the horror movies. This voting session you are picking the best horror movie of 1983. Six choices with one other option. If you pick the other option, please say what movie you are voting for and put other next to it. This voting session ends on 7/27/02. Have fun! :)

Tough choice for me. It was between Christine and The Hunger. I voted for The Hunger. I am usually not much into vampire movies, but this was a well done movie. Of course, David Bowie was fabulous as always along with Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve (sp?).

I voted for sleepaway camp. Lots of chills and twists in this movie. Cujo was pretty intense. I dont think I ever saw the hunger.

My vote would have to go to the movie, Cujo.

It was a tough choice betwee: Twilight Zone: The Movie, Cujo and The Hunger. I decided to be the weird one and pick Twilight Zone: The Movie. This movie mixed horror, suspense and comedy, which I really love. Too bad it had a tragedy with the death of actor Vic Marrow to squelch the total feeling of the movie.

I guess it says something that three of the movies from this year are based on Stephen King novels. Just makes his impending retirement from writing really hit home...

Keep up the good work Iluvthe80s. I look forward to your weekly polls.

I went for Dead Zone. I liked the twist at the end. As for the other two Stephen King movies on that list, I didn't really like them at all.

Twilight Zone came in a close second, but really I wouldn't list any of these movies on my all time favourite list of Horrors.

Of the few of these I've seen, I'd have to pick Christine. Not too scary, but it was still good.

My husband loved Cujo, and talked it up like it was the new tomorrow. Must be a guy thing.

I'm not real big on any of these, but I threw in a vote for Cujo. Christine was pretty good...had more of a humorous edge to me with the songs the car would play at certain moments, but nothing to frightening :p
