My favorite by far was Donkey kong followed by Defender. What's yours???

That's a though question :o) There were soo many great ones.

I really liked "Blades of steel" and "Gauntlet" when playing with friends. Otherwise I would probably go with "Commando" and "Ghost'n'Goblins" - but that's what I feel right now. Tomorrow it might change ;)

I think this has been asked before, but what the heck .... I'll play along :p

Mappy is definitely one of the best games ever made, so is the original Ghosts'n'Goblins (I don't care much for the sequels) .... Bagman is another classic that springs to mind ..... Driving fast in Out Run or Chase HQ is also top fun :) Dragon's Lair springs to mind, not because of the gameplay ( :lol: good one Smurf), definitely coz of the visuals :thumb:

Newer arcade games include the Tekken series, Daytona, the Metal Slug series...

Console/PC games faves .... Phew this would make a lenghty list, but some of the top ones include; SWOS (Amiga), WipeOut 2097/XL, THPS 2 (PSX), Rollercoaster Tycoon (PC), the C&C series .... and the list goes on. Maybe on day I'll post my entire faves console/pc games list :D

Whenever someone asks "What is your fav game ", I'm convinced they are evil. How could you narrow it down to one. I have a top 3. Donkey Kong, Paperboy(love the bike handles), and Crystal Castles. (First trackball experience)

Well wait a second, there's always Burgertime, Frontline, Marble Madness, Crossbow, DK Jr.

Back in the 80s I was a big fan of two in particular. "Rygar" and some game with "Moon" in the title where you drive this little car on the moon that shoot guns from its roof and its front.

I also thought Crystal Castles was a great game. I'm gonna have to see if that one is available on the Net.

That would be 'Moon Patrol', Recker :) I got that on Atari and the arcade version on MAME...cool game :cool: As for my absolute fave of the 80's...not sure at the moment :p

Gauntlet was another one I loved, I went through about $10 of coins one afternoon.

Ah The Memories of playing Rygar for countless hours sometimes even skipping school, hehehe:devil: . My Fvae game of the 80's would have to be Mega Man 2. I still love playing that game. Great music, Great graphics and a kick ass Hero who's still Kickin' Robot butt 2day, Long Live The Blue Bomber

Hated pacman! I liked the game that was like Centipede and some helicopter game.

I wasted many a quarter on Pac-Man.

I can remember skipping lunch at school just so I could

use my .50 at the Fun Factory.

The objective was to get down there as fast as you could after

school because they had (4) machines and once somebody got

on, well you know.

I even got into a fight with another guy because he popped

a quarter into the machine whilst I was still playing.

Now that is serious.

:lol: I used to hate it when people could stand for hours at the same machine, making it impossible to play your fav games. Especially when they had their coins all lined up on the machine, and you knew it would be cold in hell before you could ever try it again.

In the arcade, in was Battlezone. I was that guy that would make you stand there and watch me play it all day. :D

When you fiddle around with emus, you're bound to find some gems or new faves. This isn't a post about a fave game, but a fave developer. :) ... I've recently discovered the ace company Psikyo. They mainly produce shoot'em ups, but what shoot'em ups :eek: Lush graphics & fast paced gameplay. If you like huge firepower, and aren't too bothered with screens covered in bullets and enemys, then get yourself down to an arcade near you and try these babies out (also a few games are emulated in MAME ;) ) :thumb:

Other devs I love; Capcom, Namco, SEGA, SNK :)

Ninja Ryukenden (Ninja Gaiden) all the way. The fast platform gameplay and cool story really did it for me :)

my favorite was Ms. Pac man, centipede and Q-Bert:alien: :cool:

my favorite would have have to be Van Guard, it's one of the few ones i was good at, except Nitendo's RBI 2,3 but thatwas not a video store game

Vanguard was such an awesome game. I don't know how much time I wasted when I got that on my Atari.

Oh geez....I remember being on a mission to beat that damn thing on Atari. I think I made it through twice in a row before getting slaughtered...:lol: Almost makes me wanna dig out the Atari and give it another go....almost :lol::p

I loved Q-Bert and Pitfall.

Also, Intellivision Baseball and Horse Racing.

I loved Pac Man. I also liked Atari. The games I enjoyed playing on Atari were the earlier Super Mario Bros and this monkey game.

Crystal Castles, N.F.L. Blitz, F-Zero, Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo Super Bowl, Madden 93-2003, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, X-Men(Konami arcade), Tekken 1-4, Raiden 1 and 2, Thunder Blade,G-Loc, Bubble Bobble series....
