This voting sessions topic is the best horror movie of 1982. I wasn't sure if I should include "The Thing" in there because it was Sci-Fi as well, but some of the movies I pick can go in other categories. IMDb considered it also "horror". I would have to go with Poltergeist.

I voted for Poltergeist....I did enjoy Creepshow also though.

Yup I voted Poltergeist, since that's the one that gave me biggest scare back then .... Creepshow is also a top flik, but it's more humorous than scary IMO :)

I voted for Creepshow. I enjoyed Evil Dead as well.

Evil Dead

Poltergeist scared me to death when I was a kid.

This was really hard, because I love 4 of the movies mentioned. Ended with voting "Evil Dead" - but "The Thing", "Creepshow" and "Poltergeist" are equally good movies in their own right. All classics!

Btw. I can't wait for "The thing" to be released as a game. It's supposed to be out this year, I think. "The evil dead" game sucked big time, though :(

Had to go with Poltergeist on this one. Evil Dead is a close second, but at least it never gave me a clown complex! :D

Creepshow was more funny than horror...maybe a bit gross!

Poltergeist!! I almost went with Creepshow, because I loved it, too, but Poltergeist spooked me for a long time!! That pork chop....those dead bodies popping out of the ground....that little girl's eerie moments! ICK!! Goosebumps!

That was a toughie all right. For me it was a toss up between Creepshow and Evil Dead. In the end I went for Evil Dead because it was brilliant. Many have tried to copy the concepts from that movie, but failed.

I would agree that "The Thing" should be in this poll.

I didn't get to vote but I loved Poltergeist... I hate clowns because of this movie and IT just cemented that Hate.

I loved Creepshow... "That thing under the stairs really scared the crap out of me because our parents had an old chest under our stairs from my grandfathers farm. I used to run past it until I moved out of the house :lol: :p I have a strong imagination okay.

I don't think I've seen Evil Dead :vibrator: and yes The Thing should be on the list because that was scary too. The music alone was scary.

Which Amittyville was it with the kid and the evil walkman? That was just sad lol.
