What are your or were your fav songs from either or both shows?
I love Mnah Mnah. Rubber duckie is another fav. I also loved to sing to that number song, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12....doo doo. I think you guys know the one!

Mnah Mnah was my favorite song....this song brings back memories. When I was a bad girl http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//laugh.gif we used to do Shrooms then watch The Muppet Show at 5 in the morning, this song made us laugh so hard we almost peed our pants.
My favorite muppet was Animal as well!!! What would you expect from me he's a drummer and I was such a little "Groupie" LMAO

The best version of that song would have to be the one where Grover gets back-up vocals from a wide variety of celebrities (Everybody from Siskel & Ebert to Geena Davis & Jeff Goldblum to Julia Roberts and The Simpsons). I love "Sesame Street". I still watch it today even though I'm 18 years old.

My favorite is "Monster in the mirror" because Grover is my all time favorite Sesame Street character. I also have a CD called "Kermit:Unpigged" and it has Ozzy Osbourne and Miss Piggy doin' "Born to be wild", truly a classic. I have a CD called "Elmopalooza" with Steven Tyler doin' "I love trash" another classic. However my all time favorite Muppets song is by my favorite Muppet, Gonzo. It's on the Muppet movie soundtrack and is called "I'm going to go back there someday". A beautiful song used when the Muppets were lost in the desert. "Rainbow connection" was also a good one. I'm looking for the soundtrack on CD, anyone know where I can find it? One more I have to mention is the Muppet Show Soundtrack I have on album. Gonzo does a skit called "The great Gonzo eats a rubber tire to 'The flight of the bumble bee'" It is VERY funny.

"Monster in the Mirror" is right up there for me too! I love Grover! (esp. Super Grover) "And I am cute, too!"
Other SS favorites: "Captain Vegetable," "Letter B," "Do the Batty Bat," "I don't want to live on the moon..."
I could go on. I watched Sesame Street well into high school, and not just because I was babysitting much of the time, LOL. I loved the music and the skits. I can't wait to get Noggin on my cable system someday, you bet I'm going to be taping Sesame Street Unpaved every night.

Animal and Kermit were my favorites. My favorite Sesame St. song is "I Don't Want to Live On the Moon" Shaun Colvin sang that also, but originally it's sung by Earnie. My favorite Muppet Show song is "Rainbow Connection" hands down. :D

I also almost forgot when Jon Rzenik came on the show and sang a version of "slide" w/ Elmo called "Pride". That was pretty good, too.

As for Sesame Street, I have to go with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12... even if they have ruined it now by continuing on to at least 20 (last time I watched; who knows what they're up to now!)
I also love a song from the old Sesame Street Christmas Special, that went, "And if that isn't a true blue miracle, I don't know what one is"
