Howdy all,
New to this forum, hope its helpful for me, and if needed, hopefully I can help some of you out there with ?s. But, here's my big question of the moment. I had a bunch of 80s mix tapes I made from radio years ago, and I have been downloading new versions to replace my worn out tapes. Here's the problem. Some songs I don't know who the artist singing was, nor the song title. I tried all the obvious lyric based titles and got nothing for this one. DirecTV 80s music channel hasn't played it in at least a year since I heard it last, so I don't have access to the song info. Here's the lyrics. Does this song sound familiar to you?:goofy: I can't think about it anymore. I wasn't sure if this was from the UK or USA, New Wave, or regular old top 40 style.
"Why do you run when I’m calling/coming your name/way? Yes I was young and I made a mistake. Now you’re a stranger to me We crossed over bridges and cisterns(?) now your stranger to me The wind of change blows through your eyes stronger than a hurricane. It takes me back to a crystal night when the house went up in flames. It must have been a wild affair. I kissed you in my sleep."
I already tried "stranger to me" and "Why do you run" and neither got me any results.
Can you help?
