Her R&B chart career started in 1979 with the #8 R&B hit "What cha gonna do with my lovin'" She was a mainstay on the R&B charts throughout the 80's with five #1 R&B hits. She married another 80's artist, Jeffrey Daniels of Shalamar. She also played Dorthy in the Broadway musical "The whiz", the role Diana Ross had in the movie version. Her biggest R&B hit was 1987's "I feel good all over" staying at #1 for three weeks. My favorite is 1980's "Never knew love like this before" and I love her version of the Prince song "How come U don't call me anymore" that was recently done by Alicia Keyes. What do you all think?

I had heard that she was absolutely huge on the R&B charts. I recognize Never Knew Love Like This. It is really a classic. The other song I know is Bit by Bit on the Fletch soundtrack.

Right off hand..NEVER KNEW LOVE LIKE THIS BEFORE is the only one I can think of. I'm sure if I did some digging around..I could come up with some more. I enjoyed her singing.

I like "You Put A Rush On Me." I think Stephanie Mills sang that song.
