I bet everyone's heard "I Feel For You". This is an essential 80's hit, but Chaka Khan had a lot of great music. My favorites of the others are Love of a Lifetime (a collaboration with Green Gartside of Scritti Politti), Through the Fire, a very nice ballad, Ain't Nobody, from her days with Rufus and her duet with Peter Cetera, Feels Like Heaven. What do you think of Chaka Khan.
I am a great fan of Chaka Kahn's voice. I think she has the ability to sing anything she puts her mind to. She can sing like a pop diva belting out the tunes, or she can sing softly like a jazz singer. Chaka Khan has such funk in her voice. YOu could listen to her sing a cappella and you would still want to get up and dance.

Yeah, Milani, she definitely has a unique voice, with a lot of style!

I just saw the video for "Through the fire" on VH-1 Classic. I have her greatest hits collection but it is missing a lot of songs. I also have the Rufus greatest hits collection which isn't missing as many songs. I am definitely a fan.

Yeah I like her too. "I feel for you" is probably her best known song (and my favourite) but you should check out Prince's version (he wrote it after all!!!)
I used to fancy the pants off Chaka Khan years ago - thanks for resurrecting my boyhood crush Greenway! :P
Loved 'Ain't Nobody', and it's still played a lot in Pub/Clubs today. 'I Feel For You' really recalls me some fine memories of the 'Electro' era.
