I just picked up an old LP from him at a used record store for the song "The Gigolo". He had kind of a "disco feel". I was suprised when I looked him up in my book of R&B hits to find he had 9 charted R&B singles, 7 of them top 40 R&B hits and one #1 R&B hit. I would like to find more of his stuff now, especially a greatest hits if there is one. Anyone else ever hear of him? If so, what do you think?

You're right. I have a 3 CD set of music from "Soul train" and his version of the theme is the first song on CD 2.
