Nah, I loved the smurfs! Especially the lesser known ones like...

Fruity Smurf. Fruity is the first out of the closet Smurf. He had a bad hairpiece like Elton John. He always carried around a teddy bear. He was best friends with smurfette and they would each do other's hair and talk about the boys.

Then we have Peeky Smurf. Peeky was the pervert of the mushroom village. Peeky Smurf would always be found at night looking into other smurf's mushroom homes and waiting for a show http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Or how about Donny "the badass" Smurf. Donny used to spend his days beating the crap out of brainy Smurf, and cutting up pieces of the mushroom huts to sell to other Smurfs as a "Good High."

A little research and alot of watching Smurfs on the cartoon channel around 6 in the morning...
Smurfette isn't a smurf, she was made by *drum roll* Gargmal.. Yes, you heard me right... She was a burnett then became blonde.. she was originally made to suduce the smurfs and help Gargamal turn them to gold or eat them.. ewwwww blue meat is gross....
Smurfette was the only female of the village, other then Sassy, which came around the late 80s, during the female movement...
Poor Smurfette, in a village full of males, i bet she had fun.. but I doubt it *wonders what the smurfs did in their spare time before Smurfette* ok.. I think thats getting a bit beyond rated G..
Oh yeah, before i forget.. The smurfs did have a political meaning to them.. share your opinions and your ideas..

Intresting fact: the mushroom homes that the smurfs lived in was used in the late 1600s to get high, yes folks thats right, thats why the smurfs were all happy and blue http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/tongue.gif
The mushrooms are about a foot big and Europeans used them to get high.. *wonders how they made the houses* My best guess is that they chewed through the mushroom and got on a major trip...

Of course my favorite was Smurfette - I adored her, I loved her beautiful golden hair and that raspy voice - I used to get quite upset when Gargamel would capture her. gee I'm really embarrassing myself here aren't I?

Smurfs were "ok" I myself prefered Scooby-doo or Garfield. For some reason, I could only handle the Smurfy talk for so long before I went bananas!!! But, I'm sure that if any of the smurfs on Tinajo's list was on, it'd be a whole helluva lot more interesting.

I loved the smurfs also. howeve I cant seem to recall all their names. I had a crush on handy smurf(I believe that was his name) and one other smurf whom I cant recall. I know I was a smurf slut and its a bit weird to have a crush on a cartoon, but how many have had a crush on speed racer? Dont seem so weird now, do I? (my reply to myself is hell yhea, you cant make it sound any less odd these are cartoons) oh well.

Hmmm. Smarmy Smurf love? That's cool! Let's see. There was: Papa Smurf, Grouchy, Handy, Brainy, Smurfette and Farmer Smurf. Wasn't there a Clumsy smurf also?

Wasn't there a human boy who couldn't sing at all on that show?

Remember when there was a mysterious illness going around the Smurf Village? An "infected" Smurf would bite a healthy Smurf and then the healthy Smurf would become "infected". The "infected" Smurfs were a purplish-blue colour. They would hop around bent over at the waist and the only thing they would say was, "GNAP! GNAP!"

When I was a kid my sister and I decorated our Christmas tree with Smurfs.

In the original comic by Peyo, Papa Smurf (along with very few smurfs) found a white flower of some sort, that he somehow liquified and put in a spraying device...When a black (I'll get back to this) smurf was sprayed with this, he turned back to his blue self...I remember Joker painting himslef black and jumpin' around town...They should've kicked his @ss :lol: :D

In the comic they weren't purple, they were black, and it all started when one of them (I think it was Farmer) was stung by a li'l black hornet or something :)
