Hey guys, check out www.funspotnh.com.

I've got a couple weeks vacation that I'm gonna spend traveling the East Coast, and I'm stopping at this place in Laconia, New Hampshire. My brother was there recently, and stayed an extra day to play all of the games! They even have a bar in the arcade. Drinks, games, memories . . . It doesn't get any better than this.

This must be heaven

What I wouldn't give to gather some pals around Gauntlet II for five hours of mayhem :D

Anyones in particular smurf?

I'll be heading up there early August, so I'll get my pics on here ASAP.

I hear ya Harket, Gauntlet II did rule. "Wizard needs food badly"

The five games I'm looking forward to playing the most are:

1. Donkey Kong
2. Popeye
3. 720 degrees
4. Marble Madness
5. Crystal Castles

I'll keep you guys updated with the trip.

Oh yeah .... Gauntlet, Out Run (preferbly the cabin version), Enduro Racer (with bike), 720, Dragon's Lair, Power Drift would be nice :thumb:

I know most of these are on KLOV (http://www.klov.com/), but I want close ups of the cabinets from a dozen different angles .... if that's not too much to ask ;) :D

I'm not finished  If it's possible some ingame Power Drift screen shots would be really appreciated, thanx :p

Yes I know I'm a demanding li'l sh*t, but you don't actually have to take all these opics for me, just if you happen to spot one of the above mentioned games and have a few spare pics left in your camera ;)

Hey smurf, I'll do what I can as far as the requests. From what I've heard, this place seems to be one of the highlights in the state of New Hampshire.

Dan, you're not too far from there! I'm making the trek from Kentucky. I'm looking forward to the trip though. It will kinda be like National Lampoons Vacation with funspot being Wally World. "I'm on a quest to see a moose" Only thing is there won't be any Christie Brinkley or the hot mom. Later,

My mom used to live in Laconia... I tried to talk my husband into stopping at Funspot on our trip to NH last summer, and he didn't go for it. Next time for sure! I still get really excited when I find an old Galaga machine in the lobby at Wal-Mart, or wherever. Hehe.

Yup between that and MAME you can get info on pretty much every single arcade machine ever ;) That's what I love about the net, you can find an abundance of info on everything :D

Mary; You're such a geek ;) That's a compliment coming from this smurf .... Really :thumb:

Wow! I remember going to Funspot every time our family went up to Lake Winnepesaukee for the summer. Glad to see it's still around. (Guess I need to make a trip up to Laconia the next time I'm back in NH.)

I live up off Westport Road, past Chamberlain Lane. I'm only about a hundred or so yards from the Oldham County line.

I grew up out there. I lived in Fincastle, a subdivision about a half a mile behind the marathon station. I lived out there until I was 22, then moved closer to UofL to finish school. I lived on Sussex Ct. A lot of good times out there. Never amazes me how small this world is.

Sounds like a fun place to go! I would be playing these games if they had them: Galaga, Centipede, Millipede, Joust, and Frogger.

Stacy you should seriously consider using MAME, all those games are supported by it .... and you don't even need a high-perfomance computer to play 'em. Check out the emulator thread to get an idea of what MAME is and what it can do :thumb:
