Does anyone have a favorite tv theme song? My brother used to like the theme song to "Greatest American Hero". Does anyone remember lyrics to theme songs? Unfortunatly, I do. I think I watched way too much tv as a child. My favorite theme song was on "Family Ties"

'Believe it or Not' '81! I loved that show. Fame, 21 Jump Street, Golden Girls, Family Ties, Degrassi Junior High, yep I remember these, oh I forgot... Different World was another one. But Fame, 21 Jump Street and Believe it or Not would be my favs.

Mine would have to be Hardcastle & McCormick. You guys remember this show, right? One of the guys was an ex-con and the other was a lawyer or something and (like every other 80's show) they had to fight crime as part of the one dude's probation or something....Anyways, though I may not have the details correct, they did have this cool red car (it looked like a ferrari testarosa).

The song was very "rockin'" by 80's standards. It goes something like this:

"You got to RIDE! Ride like the speedboat against the tide.....(I don't think this is correct, but this is what I thought they said when I was a kid)
Ride! Ride like the ....(blah, blah, blah)"

Anybody else out there remember this? I'd be quite impressed if someone knew all the lyrics to this 80's gem....:)

Well, I have many '80s favorite TV theme songs (not just that of Transformers).

I liked any tv theme song by Mike Post. :D

He did L.A. Law, Magnum P.I., Simon and Simon, Greatest American Hero, The A-Team, Hardcastle and MacCormick, Hooperman, Wiseguy, and Hill Street Blues, and many, many, many more.

He began writing music for TV in the 70s and if you liked the theme for The Rockford Files....well, guess what. :D

More recently....NYPD Blue.

CHiPS, BJ and the Bear, and my favorite Incredible Hulk. When I was little I would almost start to cry when I heard the end of the Incredible Hulk. It was always so sad.:alarm:

Yeah, I forgot about the Incredible Hulk theme song. The one at the beginning of the show was all intense and quick paced. This accompanied picks of previous shows where Dr. Banner was turning into the hulk or overturning a car in the rain (remember that?).

However, the one at the end where the credits would roll was soooooo melancholy and sad. I agree with the previous poster about it making him want to cry! This music would always accompany a shot of Dr. Banner walking down a lonesome road trying to hitchhike a ride to the "next town". It was as though he always had his "tails between his legs" at the end of every episode. He would meet some nice woman or get close to discovering a cure for his "condition" and then he would get angry (and enter Hulk) and everything would get ****ed up. He then had to pack his bags and "start anew", hoping that things wouldn't be as bad the next time around.I know of few other t.v. shows that would consistently end on such a tragic note.....

That is so funny. You seem to have put a lot of time and thought into analyzing "the Hulk". But I know what you mean. When I would see the end of the show, I just wanted to get in a car and go pick him up. Then make sure that the reporter, Mr Magee, would never follow.
