I usually do not talk about my personal life on here. I like to try to use this place as a place to get lost from reality. This afternoon though was the final straw. I had been taking a nap and Bryan was in the living room. I heard him open the sliding glass door that faces the parking lot in our apartment complex. He screamed, "Hey" to someone. Come to find out a man in a 2001 dark blue Ford Expedition rear ended my car. Screwed up my bumper, bent the quarter panel on the driver's side and broke the tailight bezel off. This is the second time in two years my car has been wrecked on that side! He got the man's insurance info and stuff, but this is once again part of a string of "bad luck" we both keep having. I feel like sometimes I just don't know what to do.
My bad luck streak started as far back as December of 1997 and has lasted to present. With this year being one of the worst years. Bryan can't find work at the moment and has been out of work now for about 3 months. His guitar equipment seems to be breaking down every five minutes and we can't afford new equipment. He just got another band together that is promising and I don't want to see him miss out. The apartment complex we live in sucks! It is constantly noisy and people don't seem to have respect for anyone around here. To be honest, the reason I wasn't on earlier this week is not because my computer was broke down. Last Friday (5/31) our electricity was cut off. The reason is that this place has helacious electric bills and we don't use that much electricity! The bills are so high that I just stopped paying them so I could keep up with my other bills. It is just poorly insulated. If it wasn't for one of our dear friends, Steve we would have never got it turned back on. I told Trix to just tell you it was my computer because I didn't want to be embarrassed. This and many other things that keep kicking us in the butt is finally starting to take it's toll on me.
I keep hoping things will get better, but at this point I don't know if they ever will. As of August 1, we are trying to move out of this place and into a house with our friend Steve. The fun part will to be to find a house we can afford to rent. Everything in Austin has skyrocketed so much that I don't know if it will be possible. I guess I just needed to vent somewhere. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
