View Full Version : Jem
Sorry, but I have to start this one...
Just curious as to how many other Jem fans are out there? Anyone remember their favorite episodes or dolls? Also, does anyone remember the three Jem Find your Fate books?

8teesBuff 4-16-01, 02:19 PM OMG!!!! Yes!!! I do remember Jem!! HAHA..... but I don't remember much about it... sorry.
I'll talk about JEM... my favorite doll was "Glitter & Gold," and my favorite episodes were the first few, when Jerrica discovered Synergy, the Starlight House burned down, the Misfits smashed up the yacht, they made their first video, and Kimber went over to the Dark Side... http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//biggrin.gif
The best JEM link in the world, IMHO:
Starlight Jukebox (http://www.globalserve.net/~candle/jem/jem.html)
All the songs from the show in RealAudio. Enjoy!

rage_to_love 5-05-01, 07:38 PM Love Jem,i was so mad when they took it off.I wish i still had my dolls of them. The prices are so high now.The videos are now available through Rhino Video.
Loved the cartoon, but I didn't like the dolls so much because my Barbie's clothes were too small for them. Anything for another buck...

Yeah. And then you woke up!
ElectricYouth 4-30-02, 12:51 PM You guys remember this show, right? I loved it so much, it was one of my favorite cartoons of the 80s.
Was a great cartoon. :) Loved her pink hair. :)
When I worked for the "Latchkey" program in the 80's, we used to have 'T.V. Time" and the girls would pick a show and the boys would pick a show. The girls mostly picked "Jem", so that is how I became familiar with this show. I remember routing for the Misfits, just to be silly. :goofy: The boys picked either Transformers, He-Man or DuckTales.
angeleyes25 4-30-02, 08:22 PM I liked Jem I even had the Jem doll. The Jem doll had earings that blinked on and off.To give her more of a punk look I spray painted part of her hair hot pink.I wish I still had that doll.
I remember this show. The Misfits sure had attitude, smashing any kind of equipment they could get their hands on, making life for Jem very difficult.
I liked it! I still have the Shana doll, the one with the purple hair! :D
RainbowJemPony 9-02-02, 11:25 AM Hehe....
I loved the show. As a matter of fact I still do.
My Jem collection includes a MIB Jem Doll, my original Jem doll in her pink outfit (the one she came wearing) whos earrings still run on their original battery, Jem Vol's 1 and 2 home video's from Amazon, Glitter and Gold (my original copy from when I was a child, that still plays, just no longer has the cover case), a Jem tank top and a Misfits Tshirt (both from Hot Topic), and a DVD containing all the home video episodes.
I have to disagree on websites though. I think my favorite one is Jem Unlimited. http://www.jemunlimited.com It's got all the songs by Jem, The Misfits, and The Stingers, as well as the Duets, and they're all in mp3 format, and downloadable. I think my favorite section there though is her comparasion...or rather claim that Barbie and the Rockers were a knock off of Jem.

Thanks for the link! You're right, it is better :) My bookmarks are kind of outdated.
I had the Barbie & the Rockers song stuck in my head the other day. It was driving me nuts! "Born with a Mike in our hands..." :vibrator:
Hey, the Jem Unlimited site has a Maxie section, too! I really thought I was the only one who remembered. I have her "boyfriend" Rob around here somewhere. The doll has really poofy hair.
iloveknightrider 9-04-02, 04:36 PM I loved Jem the cartoon, didn't care for the dolls. I was a tomboy so dolls weren't my thing.
Metalfan83 3-24-03, 01:07 AM I remember there used to be a cartoon called Jem, and it was about an all girl glam rock band. Does anyone else remember this cartoon?! Or was I only dreamin'?
