I don't read alot of books, but I have read many novels and short stories by Sci Fi writer, Ray Bradbury.

My favorite book was the Halloween Tree which basically takes some trick-or-treaters through time to teach them about some of the folklore surrounding Halloween.

I also really love Something Wicked This Way Comes and Dandelion Wine. I've also read S is for Space, The Martian Chronicles, Farenheit 451, and The Illustrated Man.

Have I missed any good ones by Mr. Bradbury?

Has anybody seen movies based on his novels? I started watching both Farenheit 451 and the Illustated Man but have never been able to finish them. Something Wicked this way Comes was pretty good.

Does anybody remember a TV series called Ray Bradbury Theatre?

I love the Bradbury books. Fahrenheit 451 and The Illustrated Man are my favorites.

I actually saw Ray Bradbury Theatre in Denmark a couple of years ago. One of the cable channels showed them late at night.

The Fahrenheit 451 movie by Truffaut is a great movie. I really enjoyed the vision of the future. It was a very powerful movie.

Hey, Steve. In addition to the ones you mentioned, some of my favorites are:
A Medicine for Melancholy
Death is a Lonely Business
A Graveyard for Lunatics
From the Dust Returned

and these collections of some short stories:
Dark Carnival
The October Country (I really liked this one a lot)
Quicker Than the Eye

If you haven't read these, I'd recommend them!

I was a big fan of Ray Bradbury during my sci-fi phase in high school. Read the Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 and really enjoyed them. I also enjoyed Isaac Asimov and Piers Anthony back then!!! :thumb:

I'm not much into sci-fi books in general, but Ray Bradbury is the exception for me. He came to my college and gave one of the coolest talks I have ever heard...he's an awesome story teller in real life too!:) Ever since then I've really liked him. I just got thru reading Farenheit 451. The October Country is one of my favorites too.
