On This Day in...

1981 - Israeli F-15/F-16 military planes destroyed a nuclear power plant in Osirak, Iraq, a plutonium production facility the Israelis charged could have been used to make nuclear weapons.

1982 - President Reagan met Pope John Paul II & Queen Elizabeth.

1988 - Masschusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis clinched the Democratic presidential nomination by defeating the Rev. Jesse Jackson in the New Jersey, California, Montana and New Mexico primaries.

1989 - time was in numerical order at 01:23:45 on 6/7/89. :D

Oh yeah, I totally remember that!:p :D

I do remember 8/8/88. 8 being my favorite number! :) There was a big rush on weddings that day. I guess a lot of people though it would bring them luck.
