View Full Version : If you didn't think Aerosmith sold it's soul before, you will now.... Pagan 6-06-02, 12:09 PM Aerosmith announced it's newest tour. This time they'll be on the road with Kid Rock and Run DMC. Sweet Goddess....they're soooo done. Taz 6-06-02, 12:12 PM Oh brother! I'm sure Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer are rolling their eyes too. Cartoon_Chris 6-06-02, 12:15 PM So the KISS package fell through after all, surprise surprise? Pagan 6-06-02, 12:33 PM Originally posted by Taz Oh brother! I'm sure Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer are rolling their eyes too. That's if they even stick around! Christine 6-06-02, 01:14 PM No way! Kid Rock... I thought last year they picked a good opening band, Fuel. But Kid Rock?? :hammer: Flix 6-06-02, 04:34 PM Anyone who choose to play with Kid Rock is an assclown. I actually like Aerosmith, but no way I'm gonna go see them with that guy. maddog 6-06-02, 05:22 PM This is just plain wrong...Have they no pride? Jazzmyn 6-06-02, 06:32 PM Why would play with Kid Rock???????? That's just not right. djdaffy1227 6-06-02, 06:35 PM Am I the only one who thinks this has potential? At least they aren't touring with Britney and *Nsync. I would love to see Run-DMC. My question is, are they gonna do a whole show just playing "Walk this way"? Therrall 6-06-02, 09:43 PM Originally posted by maddog This is just plain wrong...Have they no pride? I don't think Pride is the issue here, $$$$$$$, another one bites the dust *shakes head* I'm just curious how many pieces of Silver they got for thier Souls? :mwaha:  Recker 6-06-02, 09:48 PM They must be desperate, that's all I can say. Definitely only money on their minds. Pippi 6-07-02, 04:33 AM I would not pay for a show that made Kid Rock any money. That is too bad. A lot of Aerosmith fans will be disappointed. Iluvthe80s 6-07-02, 11:11 PM <-----shaking her head in dissapointment. I give up on them! They are just a bunch of sellouts! Shortie Blonde 6-08-02, 12:07 AM gag me with a spoon. most non bodacious. Tydestra 6-09-02, 02:57 AM *looks down at her Aerosmith tickets...* They are free, I understand Run DMC, but Kid Rock... I'll a point to be entertained while he's on stage. A lot of weird get togethers this summer. Bowie is playing with Moby when he goes on tour ;) Bambi 6-13-02, 09:42 PM First the ride at Disney World, now this! What ever happened to The band that I once knew The band that said they'd be true.... Oh no, oh no, oh no no no no... Sarg 6-13-02, 10:02 PM Sicking isn't it! Aerosmith is looking to stay in the limelight at whatever cost. Then, today this news was on CDnow's Allstar news: Nikki Sixx, who wrote most of the Motley Crue stuff, told us that he has written a song, "Let's Get It Together," for possible inclusion on the next Backstreet Boys album, as well as songs for Tantric, Saliva, and Faith Hill. Well, at least he gets paid for the songs he writes! Zel 6-13-02, 11:25 PM Could this be a sign of decline? Do you think they will be playing in back water bars in a few years for a $5. cover charge - it could happen. Taz 6-14-02, 08:28 AM Anything is possible.... it might do them some good. Bring 'em back to their roots. wavemaster 6-14-02, 08:43 AM I'm with DJ there, at least to a certain degree - maybe some kids will leave after they had seen Kid Rock, but some will surely stay to watch the whole package and probably leave the hall with thinking "Boy...never thought that Run DMC and Aerosmith were that cool". And, with all due respect...Aerosmith and Run DMC are not the hot sellers they used to be anymore. Maybe this will be a fresh infusion for them, breaking new grounds among the "nu-metal kids". But what does an old synthpopper know? |
