Hey Y'all,

How do you like to view your films, pick your favorite! :)

Right now its VHS. I don't have time to go to the movies, there's usually nothing good on cable and I don't have a DVD player, but I look forward to getting one!

I voted for vhs. I don't have a DVD player but we do have and excellent collection of videos. I find them on ebay or the pawn shops/video stores around town. This way...I save on rentals, trying to get them back on time, etc.. and can watch them whenever we want. Occasionally..we will rent one but all in all, we mostly just buy them used.

I love watching DVD's. It is such a good way of watching a movie. You watch the movie first, then the outtakes and deleted scenes, then documentries and other extras. I have also watched several of my movies with the added commentator tracks.

I enjoy going out to movies at the theatre. It just seems like more of an experience to see a new movie with a large group of strangers, where you can gauge people's differing reactions to the film. :)

I had to say VHS, only because I have neither cable nor DVD.

VHS.I rarely go to the movies and I only have basic cable and there's never nothing good on and if there is I hate sitting through the commercials.I have a dvd player but with 3 other people in the house it's hard to find time by myself so I can watch them so I prefer vhs since I have a vcr in my room.

I like going to the movie theater. :)

Tough choice. The theater can be fun going with friends and for the atmosphere for movies like Star Wars, but I went with DVD. great picture, I got surround and all that, can get things to eat when I want...basically...convenience rules! :D:p

Most definately on DVD. I am not a big fan of going to the theatre. Although I will go see Scooby Doo there! I have to really want to see a movie bad to go to the theatre. Watching at home w/ my surround sound, big screen and piles of comfy pillows can't be beat! :D

I like DVD for the extras, digital clarity and the awesome sound. The interactive side of DVD's is fun too! There are hidden 'easter eggs' or hidden surprises, I love looking for them! :thumb:

I prefer a DVD player. The picture is much clearer. With a suitable sound system its superior to VHS. I like to plant my butt in an easy chair in the center of the room and veg out to a DVD movie along with the bijillion hours of extra feautres.

I love my DVDs but I had to vote for the cinema - nothing beats the whole atmosphere there - and some movies just HAVE to be seen on a large screen - even 60" won't do ;) :p

In the cinema

There is something about having your ear drums blown up.. and that stale popcorn that really makes me happy :D

:( I voted for "In The Cinema", cause it looks like that will be where I'm gonna watch my movies in the future. :(

Huh? Does that mean you don't particularly want to snuggle up with me on the back row in the dark?? Oh what the heck - I don't really care WHERE we watch them - as long as I get to hold your hand during the scary movies - and do other things to you during the ....erhm....romantic movies... ;)

I picked "other". It doesn't really matter to me if it is DVD, VHS, or Cable/Satellite. Those are the main ways I watch movies. As long as I get to see the movie, i'm happy! :)

DVD all the way.Just go rent Gladiator the extra's are great. Some dvd's not only have great sound tracks, they also have the music video's as extras .I rented The Spy Who Shagged Me the other night it has Madonna-beautiful stranger and Lenny Kravitz-american women as extras.

It used to be LaserDisc, but that's up for sale, since I got a kick-ass Pioneer DVD player. Yes I know the pics & sounds are better on LD, but since I only has it hooked up to a Denon amplifier and get to watch it on a regualar TV, I might as well just use a DVD.

Even tho' I watch most fliks on DVD, I'd still go with cinema .... There's nothing like sinkin' my @ss into a comfy chair, watch the light dim down and the sound of a complete THX system booting up Star Wars :thumb: So what if I can't drink coffee and smoke cigs while I'm there, I forget where I am anyways :D

In short; I voted cinema :)

Seeing as how I don't have a DVD player  (other than on the computer :yucky: ) I voted for VHS. I like to watch movies at home better than the theater because I like being in control of it and being able to pause it or rewind it if I missed a part.

I voted for VHS. I'd rather pay $2.50 for the whole family to see a movie than somewhere between $14 to $23!! Plus I watch the movie channels a lot.

I like renting. I would be less irritated if I hated the film, because I wouldn't have wasted all that money on it. :)

I vote DVD. I am not good in the cinema. Many things that strike me funny aren't very funny to others...and I think I annoy them a bit. When Titanic came out, something tickled me and friend and I had to leave the theater because I went on a laughing jag in a most dramatic moment.

I like going to see a movie in theatres first. Lord of the Rings would not have been the same if I had seen it for the first time on DVD or VHS. I had to experience those movies in the theatre. Once I've seen them there, then it's DVD, all the way. :thumb::D

I like going to the cinema every now and then but it gets expensive, and I don't always have the time to go, so my favorite way to watch films is my DVD's on my big screen tv. It's like being at the cinema except that I can pause the movie when I go to the concession stand er....I'm mean the kitchen. :D

DVD is the way to go! i do go to the theather (seldom) the surround ect in the newer theaters are great.

I do like to go to the Drive In Theater at times with a bunch of people! It is a great time, you can take chairs and sit outside and watch(just like the old days)

Well since I don't own a DVD player yet, I am going with VHS. I can pause the movie when I want and watch it when I want.

I voted, other. Because I like to watch them at home or on a couch cuddling somewhere. :) DVD's or VHS, it does not matter.

The movie theater is nice but we have the worst seats. All it takes is about 10 min. and ur ass is numb.

I'd rather watch my movies on VHS. (I now have my own VCR, a JVC A591U, which I got for Christmas last year). That way, I don't have to fight the crowd or worry about being on time.

My preference is DVD's in the dark during the winter , with a nice fire going, lying on the coach with lots of munchies.

I don't know if anyone else has run into similar problems but an awful lot of DVD's I rent are defective..... might be my DVD player is 5 years old ?... I'm starting to get scared to rent DVD's and settle for VHS.

DVD ... the cinema is wonderful with friends.. but fighting for a seat and the price at the concessions.. it's usually worth it to wait for the movie to come out on DVD.. sit at home, relax and enjoy.. ;)

DVDs mainly unless they're only available on VHS. I seldom go to the cinema.

DVD definitely!!! LOTS of extras!!!

Recently, I watched my VHS copy of Back to the Future--the first such flick.

A bonus feature followed the movie: It was the making of Back to the Future, with interviews of the BTTF cast and crew.

It seems that bonus features can be had by VHS movies as well as DVD movies.

I've always enjoyed the atmosphere of the theater. The huge screen, the thundering sound and the smell of popcorn. I've got a widescreen and surround sound at home but it's not the same to me as getting out to the theater.

I prefer watching movies in the comfort of home. Thus, I voted DVD.

I usually only go to a cinema theater when there is a movie that family or friends have suggested I watch on the big screen.

I never liked the idea of DVD because I own like a little under 1000 VHS movies, but I eventually switched to DVD. Now I use both :thumb:

I prefer DVD also, there's nothing like watching a movie in the comfort of your own home
