We recently got Mozilla (whoo-eee!). One problem...it can't open DC. I have been using explorer to get in there, but my dad ...erm...:uhoh: found it in the history. I played stupid, cuz I'm not supposed to be in chats. I would go bug the living shit out of my brother, but he'd tell my dad I'd been in there. So...now that I'm done....any ideas?

Why does your dad care if you go into chat rooms? Is he worried that some psycho is going to find you?

The only reason I can possibly think of is that most people will stay in IRC (or even web chat rooms) for hours on end. I don't use them much at all, but I am surprised your dad won't let you.

I would say that it is because he is worried about the kind of people that may be out there. There are a lot of sick people just waiting to meet someone young that they may be able to convince to meet the IRL (not saying that you would fall for something like that, Shortie :) ). We have had instances of people getting into DC and being less than friendly and talking trash in the past.

Not sure why Mozilla isn't working with DC? Haven't actually ever been in DC.

You could try Opera, it can set itself to be recognized as IE :)

You could also keep using IE, just remember to clear everything regarding netsurf (ie. Temp, Cookies & History) after you're done

My dad doesn't like me in chats for the same reason he despises AIM. It's another way to meet twisted and sick people who are going to stalk me and cyber. He also really likes PHONES and not internet.

But I think I will do that for a while, Smurf.
