This was unbelievable. The Senegal team looks strong and their midfielders really understood how to hang on to the ball. They played very inspired football, but I doubt they will beat the Danes or Uruguay. They had momentum in this game, but they will probably look different next time. That would be typical for an African team.

The French did not play with any sense of urgency. They did not push forward at any point. Not even the last 15 minutes. That is so uncharacteristic for the French team. Great saves by the Senegal keeper too whenever the French had a chance.

Now where does this leave my beloved Denmark? I think if we beat Uruguay tomorrow, things will look pretty good for us. I still think Denmark and France will go through from this group.

Go Senegal! Good match too. It's nice to see the big boys in the tournament having to work. This is good for Denmark Pippi. Throws the group right open!

France without Zinedine Zidane are not the same!

Also thought that they looked naieve at the back. Senegal had nothing to lose and played like it.

Yes - it was almost like watching 1990's Argentina - Cameroun all over again.

I just hope that we can beat France, but I think it will get a lot thougher now they HAVE to win their last two games. I'm more worried now than before actually, regarding Denmarks chances. But we'll see!!!

GO DENMARK GO GO GO

My first thought exactly when I heard the result .... Now all we gotta do is keep an eye on group F  This is what makes FOOTBALL so great. Anybody can beat anybody :thumb:

Damn...had missed the game due to a date with the insurance company - but it's almost unbelievable.

From the few scenes I have seen in the news, Senegal was definetly the stronger team, it looked like the French team was a bit confused by the missing of Zidane. Senegal could be the first surprise of this tournament if they keep on playing like this, but the Danes are not to underestimate - and France will surely not repeat their "mistake" twice if they can avoid it.

senegal played very well! looked well organised in defense, the goalkeeper is very solid, and El Hadji Diouf cut the french defense to ribbons.
senegal made the african cup of nations final, and only lost to penalties to cameroon, so they're not lightweight

personally, if i were supporting denmark, i would be VERY worried...it's probably the worst result possible for them

Could be Spacey .... Not sure tho' As I said before this certainly open up Group A. 2 wins should be sufficient, and no matter who goes thru', they'll have to face a team from Group F .... Denmark vs. England anyone ??? :p

As for Denmark vs. Usuguay tomorrow, I have no idea what the score will be .... Of coz this red/white heart says Denmark, but the mind ( :goofy: as it is :D ) can't figure this one out. I think Uruguay and Denmark will match each other perfectly, and this will be a very entertaining match.

I just hope that Senegal will make the classic mistake of African football and be overconfident after this win. That was how we destroyed Nigeria in 1998.

it might not be enough beating senegal...

i've seen uruguay first hand recently....they will be very tough to beat
their goalkeeper has a nasty habit of making unbelieveable saves!

and then france....they know they have to win from here on in, and with zz back in the side, they'll be a tough ask

No team needs three wins to go through. Two wins should be more than enough.
