The Mission is one of my favorite goth bands from the eighties.

I voted for Butterfly On A Wheel, because Wayne sounds so cool in it and the lyrics means a lot to me.

Deliverance. I saw them here in 1990 w/ the Wonder Stuff. What a cool show!

Deliverance- I used to crank that song up in college and drive my roommates nuts...they were totally into the Doors and hated The Mission.

Actually, there are two songs of The Mission I'm pretty fond of..."Like A Hurricane" and "Over The Hills And Far Away".

That has to be Amelia...I remember that I bought the CD and putted in the player and it started with this song and heard the lyrics...and I was only thinking "what is he singing about".I just never thought that he would sing about a topic like that...

Yep, Tower of strength did it for me too. Got lucky enough to interview the guys and the Wonderstuff on the tour mentioned above. Was in Detroit at the time. They'd just lost their guitarist two days ago. They weren't bad live, but the Wonderstuff (one of my top 3 live bands) wiped them off the map.

I saw Mission last November at the Academy III in Liverpool, the real disapointment was that the ceiling was that low no one could form a tower as they performed the song. :no:

I voted for Wasteland, it is on a compilation that i have. I don't know much of The Mission's music. I'm going to have to check them out.
