Does anyone know the artist and/or title to the partial lyrics below? This song was popular during the same timeframe as Don't You Want Me by Human League. The song was sung by a female and the lyrics go something like this:

I want you
I want you so bad, boy, I need you
Come in my world and baby, you'll see
Paradise is waiting for just you and me
I've waited so long for someone like you
To make all my dreams and passions(?) come true

psychocandy is right "I Want You" is by Shana from 89. "Don't You Want Me" is 8 years older.

I hate to nitpick, but her name is Shana Petrone, not Gordon. Steve Gordon was one of the writers/producers for the "I Want You" album. Did anyone know that she was in the country music scene a few years ago? She released songs such as "Something Real" back in 98 or 99.

Wow! Yeah. I was working at a country station then and we played "Heaven Bound" from Shana Petrone. But I had no idea she had a previous musical life in another genre! :D
