View Full Version : Jen's turn to rant!
Grrrrrrrr!!!! I absolutely HATE this!
Friday is the last day of school. I was congratulating myself just the other day for not getting hurt this year. (I get hurt here every year). Well guess what.....it ain't over til its over!
Today we had recess duty outside in front of the gym because the back was wet from last night's storm. The front parking lot is gravel and large rocks.
I was talking to a student who was supposed to be in lunch detention and WHAM! I got hit in the face with a rock.
That little ( ) better hope I don't find out who it was that threw it. It cut into my skin and I bled for an hour. It doesn't hurt too much now, but it's a little swollen.
wow, Jen, I'm sorry to hear about that.
i hope you're ok, considering.
what an a** whoever that was.
high school is so lame. (what a nightmare:yucky:
are you done completely with it now?
it gets better; i promise ;)
group hug for Jen
:ghug:
That's horrible! I'm sorry that something like that happened to you, Jen! Hope you find out who the little monster was! Here's a hug for you. Hope it helps. :) {{{HUG}}
I understood from the post that Jen was a teacher, but now you got me confused, Vilji.
I hope it doesn't hurt and show too much, Jen. Don't you just love kids sometimes?
Roemello 5-27-02, 06:03 PM I'm in :D :ghug: ;)
That sucks Jen....hope you're ok now :* If you find out who did it, NO MERCY! :hammer:  ;)
Awwww... Jen. Sorry to hear that.... Ouch!! :irked: Damn, I hope the assclown who did that get's theirs someday. :hammer:
Hope everything's ok. :)
:ghug:
I hear horror stories for this one teachers hair I do. It is a shame there aren't better parents out there that teach their kids right from wrong. I know personally I have had it with bratty kids. I can only imagine what you go through daily. Still, for all the bad kids, it must be worth it when you touch one or two kids in a positive way. :)
The teacher I spoke of above(she is now retired) recently got an invitaton to a graduation from one of her students whom she had in 3rd grade. The student remarked about how she had changed her life!! WOW..what a feeling of proudness! :) Someday that will be you. :)
Sorry for what happened to you Jen. :rose:
Christine 5-27-02, 07:08 PM :( I hope you recover soon, Jen! Feel better! :ghug:
Thanks you guys.
I felt better after I posted about it. Sometimes it helps just to rant and get it over with.
I have an idea who the perpetrator is, but I have no positive proof. 200 kids outside and noone saw, but they all have an opinion.
oops.. lol
:p
a teacher.. i know that. i forgot.
we're all so young at heart here..;)
well, life gets better anyway...:)
Nothing like a bit of a rant sometimes Jen and in this case you are quite justified!
80sTrivia 5-27-02, 09:37 PM I'm sorry that you got hurt, jen*, and I'm angry that one of your student's is responsible! I hope you find out who the little bugger who did it was and he (or she) pays the price!!!
wavemaster 5-27-02, 11:29 PM  Whoa...I had never dared to chuck a rock at a teacher - although I was a troublemaker in school, they still were persons of respect for me.
I just can hope that there won't be any permanent damage, as you are still my favourite teacher - and tell that little a$$hole once you've caught him that he's offically outlawed in Germany now (yeah, I know...he won't probably give a fluck). ;)
Can't resist a :ghug:
Sorry about that unfortunate incident jen :(
ImSoooSure 5-28-02, 02:31 AM I'm so sorry Jen! I can't believe someone actually hit you w/ a rock. That's awful!!!:( I just can't imagine what teachers these days go thru. I hope they find out who did it. That would make all of us feel better!:ghug: I'm in on the group hug too.
Tydestra 5-28-02, 02:44 AM :ghug: Poor Jen! If you have a hunch, go on it... someone is going to say something. Little kids can't keep their mouths shut for too long.
Prefab Sprouter 5-28-02, 03:27 AM I've just seen your post Jen* and that is terrible. No one should have to take that in their job. I hope you're feeling better and you get the little rotter!!! :)
I'm really sorry to hear that Jen....:( Kids these days huh?
My Mother-In-Law is a retired teacher, and some of the stories she comes out with makes my jaw drop....
RetroMan 5-28-02, 09:21 AM Jen, that's terrible :( what a great way to end the school term.
My Mum is a teacher - she teaches primary school kids and sometimes she has to put up with things like this. There are lots of problem kids mixed in with the well behaved ones and she sometimes gets very upset. I hope you catch up with who threw the rock - you need to throw it back at the little brat ;) right between the eyes!
Well, I've gotten three different names from several different students. Now I don't know what to think. I know that three people couldn't have thrown one rock!
I just hope it's better in West Virginia. *crosses fingers*
Well, I'm off to my last day of duty and I'll be back on my planning period. :)

Sorry to hear about that Jen.....kids can be stupid sometimes. Glad that you weren't badly injured.....{hug}
:( Sorry to hear this jen*. :( It amazes me how disrespectful kids can be these days. :6ohboy: I hope you get some kind of closure on this, but at least you've only got a few more days. Hang in there.
:ghug:

I appreciate that, Pagan.
We can't all be sophisticated New Yorkers. :p
80sTrivia 5-28-02, 08:20 PM Maybe two of the other students conspired with the third to throw the rock... peer pressure and all. Anyway, I'm glad to know you are alright, jen*!!! :)
