Did anyone else ever watch Valerie/The Hogan Family? I absolutely loved this show. Did you realize that it ran for 6 seasons....technically....

Sounds kind of familiar, but I am going to have to say "no". Who was in it?

I remember that one. Used to watch it every once in a while. Wasn't one of my favorite shows.

Yes, I liked that one Dawn. Yes "Valerie" 86, "Valerie's Family" 87-88, and "The Hogan Family" 88-91 stared Jason Bateman, Valerie Harper (the first couple of seasons), Sandy Duncan (the last few seasons), and Josh Taylor to name a few.

I remember that show. Valerie left (did she die?) and then it became Valerie's family, then when Sandy Duncan came in, it just was the Hogans. I remember an episode where the attic caught on fire and burned the whole house. I was terrified of fire and wouldn't sleep for months after that!

I remember watching this show. Jason Bateman (Justine's brother) used to be on it. I totally had a crush on him. It was about him and then I think he had twin brothers but they didn't even look alike. Valerie Harper was killed off because she was having differences with the producers of the show. Sandy Duncan later replaced her as an aunt or something.

I used to enjoy watching the Hogan Family. Yes, Sandy Duncan replaced Valerie Harper after she was fired in a contract dispute over money... go figure. I remember that Edie McClurg played the next door neighbor, Mrs. Poole, and Willard Scott was her husband. I haven't seen the show in years and I don't believe it is in syndication, although it would be perfect for the Hallmark or TNT lineup!

Oh yes, I remember that show! It was on NBC right? I watched it frequently, but not every week. It was tough to keep up with all the changes! :D

I really enjoyed that show. I liked it better when Valerie Harper was on, but Sandy Duncan is a great actress as well. What ever happened to the boys that played the twins? I believe Josh Taylor is currently in the role of Roman Brady on Days of our lives. Which is funny, because he played a different character on Days back in the 70's.

Yeah, I liked the Hogan Family It was a pretty funny show. Always thought Jason Bateman played a great smartass and he always had babes for girlfriends including my all time favorite, actress Jennifer Runyon(you might remember her as Scott Baio's long time girlfriend "Gwendolyn" on "Charles In Charge")
Favorite Jason Bateman Show was "It's Your Move"!
Jason played a real clever smartass whose sister was always
trying to get him in trouble. He and his friend were constantly
trying to fiend off and outwit the next door neighbor's attempt to get at his single ultra babe mom(Caren Caye). One of my favorite episodes was when he and Norman were forced to appear as father and son on a game show! It was hilarious!

Yes, Josh played Chris Kosachek on DOOL back in the late-70s/early-80s. Just goes to show you that DOOL isn't big on small details... :goofy:

I didn't watch Days until after the character of Chris Kosacheck was no longer around, but according to my Days of our lives coffee table book, it seems like he was a fairly major character back then. I also don't recall why Wayne Northup left the role of Roman after his big comeback in the early 90's.
