If you heard Aerosmith in the Super Market, would you feel bad for Steven Tyler? I did yesterday, it's so sad that Hannaford plays their music now I think.

I voted no...our stores play alot of good music. Sets the mood for better shopping and the kids behave better too. Believe that or not.

I have heard I don't want to miss a thing a few times in supermarkets. I didn't feel sorry for them really. It means that it is a classic song that most people know.

Not at all. He's made his millions I dare say, so why should we be sorry for him??

I think it is alright to hear his music and other mainstream bands in supermarkets. It is better than elevator music! :eek:

Not in the least. While I still love them, Aerosmith have turned into musical whores. They'll probably sell their music to anyone who wants to use it. Dodge commercials, anyone? :rolleyes:

Metallica? :bigeek: :yikes: That's not good...I never thought that when I was little learning about theses guys that they'd be in supermarkets when I was 14!!! And even worse, I heard "Rag Doll" not one of their ballads.

I don't feel sorry for them. I enjoy their music, and it's fun when I can sing along while shopping. lol A lot of stores play more modern music now. Depends on the time of day and the age group they're trying to attract.

Nah.... Don't feel sorry. They are making their money... Who knows how long they are gonna be arround.... they all have families now and probably want to make sure they have enough of a nest egg.

Enough of a nestegg? THey made that off of Permenant Vacation and Pump. Every piece of shit they put out since then is noting but CRAP and is just selling themselves, and thier reputation as a great band down the river/ ANy time thier biggest song is a Diane Warren song, they need to hang it up and call it a day!

I don't listen to music when I walk into a store... I'm one of those annoying little tech brats who has a MP3 CD player on 24/7 :)

I wish they'll play more Aerosmith were I work... when the store's Dj is there, he plays all the awesome stuff; but the second he's off the clock they put on whatever is hot on MTV :yucky:

I don't feel sorry for them. It's just good to hear good music in stores. Beats the hell out of watered down rock songs. I can also relate about the country songs. The little store that's closest to where we live just plays country all the time. :Barf.

Hell, if they played music like that I would shop there all the time ! :)

No, I wouldn't feel sorry for him. I would think it's great to hear a wonderful song from the band from my neck of the woods playing in the supermarket. It's better than that horrible elevator music that most supermarkets play nowadays.
