try these bands out if you haven't already....
BUCKCHERRY
HALFCOCKED
SEVEN WISHES
BEAUTIFUL CREATURES
NEW AMERICAN SHAME
rock aint dead, its just been on a long vacation
Well, BUCKCHERRY's second CD flopped, got hardly any airplay, and the band changed members like Brett Micheal changes bandanas to cover his bald spot.
Beautiful Creatures (WHO I LOVE) got dropped, and half the band bailed.
Halfcocked cant even get thier record company (dreamworks, who have money to spend) to finance a tour.
Rock my not be dead, but it surely isnt where it should be!

Beautiful Creatures sounds great!! I have their CD and love it. "Wasted" is such a great track.
Beuatiful Creatures, that album should have been the next gen's Appetite for Destruction - a bold statement, yes, but that album is flawless.

There is a record company by the name of Chavis Records, owned by Bill Chavis who used to do reviews for Metalvault.com
It's a great concept and he has several bands with the 80s melodic rock sound that a lot of us love. If you all want to check it out, the website is http://www.chavisrecords.com
Peace, Lori
LIVESAY was looking at Chavis as a possible label but Now & Then/Frontiers Records was just all around a much better label. ;)

AdrianGale is keeping it alive as well with Feel the Fire. Availabe on Kivel Records website.

here's another for everyone to check out
D.C. COOPER
he sings for Silent Force (a power metal ala Judas Priest Painkiller sounding band) but his solo CD is very influenced by 80s... lots of Dokken Tooth N Nail sound to it.. a very great listen.
also check out LANA LANE
if anyone was ever a Doro Pesch (Warlock) or DIO fan.. check her out.. I have 3 cds by her and they are a mazing. A bit of trivia.. her cousin is Davey Vain (little trivia::: of the hair-band VAIN, and he also produced albums for bands like Death Angel in the 80s).
I went out and picked up Beautiful Creatures Yesterday and I can't get it out of my CD player! It is fantastic! Thanks for the recomendation! As I listened to it I thought I recognized the lead singer but it took me awhile to place him. Bang Tango! I used to have their Psycho Cafe album on cassette and sold it when I switch over to CD's... I'm gonna find that on CD to add to my collection.
