I remember being in the second grade and just getting the hang of long division. The boy who sat across from me was the first one in our class to realize that we could now figure out the problem "2000-1968=?". Our whole table was freaking out because we'd be 32! How ancient! We never thought we'd ever actually get there.

I remember figuring it out in junior high sometime. I knew I would be 28. It is hard to believe that has came and went now!

I don't think I ever tried to figure out how old I'd be in 2000, always lived one day at a time. It would've been too depressing.

Lets see,.......10, 20, 30, 40, 48!
Oh Man!...Now I am depressed!

2002 is even more depressing!:bigcry:

I remember thinking that I would be the big 3-0 in the year 2000. I never thought of that as being horrible truthfully. I actually thought how exciting life would be in the year 2000 at the age of thirty. Boy, what a let down!!! :)

I think I was 10 or 11 when I realized it. I was very excited to think where I would be by the Year 2000.

I started thinking about 87 i think, I was at the age were New Years eve parties started being more interesting. I thought in 2002 i will be close to 25, which is soooo old. And I imagined myself on a huge grown up party! How wrong my fantasy was, as i ended up celebrating in London on the street.

That sounds naughty!

tee hee...

I remember figuring out how old I'd be if the Olympics came to Toronto in 96 but I never bothered with 2000. Strange really as I'm not even a fan of the Olympics!

Hmmm...I was 13 on New Year's Eve 2000...I turned 14 later in the year. 2000 was one of the best and worst years in my life for many different reasons...I guess I figured out how old I would be when I was about 9 or 10. :)

I don't remember when I first figured it out, but I know that around 1988 or '89 some kids were talking about it. I was about 11 years old. This one kid who was a little older kept saying, "I'll be 26 in the year 2000, I'll be 26, I'll be 26", I just remember him saying that over and over. I realized I'd be about 22/ 23 and I thought that was so damn old!! But I never thought we'd have flying cars or anything in a mere 10 years or so, I knew it would simply be the near future, but not the future future like Blade Runner or Star Wars

*starts singing at the top of his voice* "In the year 2525, if man is still alive. If woman can survive!!!!!"

I don't think I ever thought about it.

*starts to sing again* "So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999!!!"

I never concentrate on age....I'm always gonna get older, so I better have the best today I can, right? ;) I will never have this day again...once it's gone, it's gone.

The only thing I ever figured out was that my son will be 18 and graduating High School (2009), and I will be 37. Still young enough to have a lot fun and enjoy the grandkids (God willing).

Same here!
Of course I was 10 years old in 1973, and we all thought that we would be driving Flying Cars as well as daily shuttles to the moon, and we would be wearing lots of silver shiny outfits! :alien:

I don't remember how old I was, but I remember I was in middle school. It was the same year I found out when Halley's Comet was going to return, because I wanted to know how old I'd be then (and I MISSED IT, by the way, I am still crushed). Then I figured out how old I'd be at the turn of the century.

I was 7 or 8, living in Colorado and in the second grade (1976). I was home doing my homework in the dining room quietly and then I remember doing the math and being blown away by how 'old' I was going to be! 32!! It's funny now!

:goofy: I must of figured it out, but put it in some part of my brain that would never re-call it again! I am in complete denial, but bask in the glow of forever living in the 80's...LOL!!!

;) No seriously, I knew I would be 30, but just really didn't give that much thought. I never really pondered where I would be or where...just knew I hoped to know it when I got there! LOL!

I DID NOT think I would be a nurse however...that was a total fluke...LOL!!
