Ok, I just noticed an inconsistency with the movie 16 candles. Here it is. On the TV version (TBS) after she passes the note to her friend in class, but Jake intercepts it, "Sam" and her friend are walking in the hall. Then, it cuts to the cafeteria scene, Sam sees Jake in there, then throws her lunch on her friends lunch and says that she doesn't want Jake to know that she eats lunch. Now, on my Video cassette version, the whole cafeteria scene is cut out.
What I want to know is if this is something added for the TV, or is my cassette missing something? If anyone else has this movie, check and see if you are missing this scene. (It is right before the one where Jake and his friend are doing chin-ups.)
Thanks oodles....

What strange conspiracy be THIS?
Well i own 16 Candles (not easy finding classic 80s movies and it was at Phar Mar on sale so i pick them up), and i always think of this movie as sad and mean spirited. Anyone else share this feeling?

The scene was originally shot, but not in the theatrical or home video releases. But they do put it in the TV version for some reason. Just like there are two scenes in the begining that were shot, one said "they forgot my birthday" which is shown on tv, and one that says "they Fu*&^$G forgot my birthday" during the theatrical version and some of the home videos.

Just a little extra stuff to fill up air time basically.

Thanks for the info Ron. I still feel cheated out of the full movie. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00hmph.gif At least I still get the "They F__king forgot my birthday!" In my version http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//00hahaha.gif!
Have a great one!

I love the movie Sixteen Candles. It's my 2nd favorite movie of all time, #1 being The Wedding Singer. Mean spirited? It's just such a funny movie. The scene with the exchange student on the bike with that girl is hilarious.

Well I guess "mean spirited" is a bit much. I guess its just that all females over the age of 11 scare the hell out of me. Thats why I only date nuns-in-training and mannequins.
