This poll is for solo hits, none of his duets with Jessi Colter, Willie Nelson, or the Highwaymen have been included. My favorite is the theme to the Dukes of Hazzard.

My favorite is the theme to the Dukes of Hazzard. Trixter 5-06-02, 09:07 PM It was hard not to pick the "Theme from the Dukes Of Hazzard" but I went with the stirring "America"! :thumb: Recker 5-06-02, 09:47 PM It's the only song of his I know! ImSoooSure 5-08-02, 02:29 AM Dukes Of Hazzard theme got my vote too. Did he also sing that song Mama Tried? I like that one a lot too. Iluvthe80s 5-09-02, 08:10 PM I used to have the album that the Dukes Of Hazzard theme was on. I believe it was called "Music Man". It was a good album. There was a few songs on it I liked such as "Clyde" (I believe that was the name of it?) and a version of "Do It Again". My favorite was the Dukes Of Hazzard theme though. TJ 5-09-02, 08:58 PM Had to go with the Theme from the Dukes of Hazzard. :) nolanbuc 5-14-02, 03:27 AM I liked some of Waylon's other stuff, but I loved this show so much, this song had to be my pick. whistledog 10-23-04, 11:35 PM "Just the Good Ol' Boys" YEE-HAW! Ohio 80's Man 1-28-05, 06:44 PM I've always been partial to "Which Way Do I Go, Now That I'm Gone." ValJ 1-28-05, 11:06 PM Lisa, "Mama Tried" is a Merle Haggard tune. ;) I like Waylon's 70s stuff best. Songs like "Luckenbach, Texas," "I’ve Always Been Crazy," "Amanda," and "Just To Satisfy You." When did he do the song that goes "Don't you think this outlaw business done got out of hand..."? Anyway, from the 80s, I'd have to say "The Theme From The Dukes Of Hazzard," since I can't get "America" to play in my head tonight. Ohio 80's Man 1-28-05, 11:15 PM It's the only song of his I know! My friend, you are missing out on something great. If you're really like country music, look for the new two disc collection of Waylon Live. Wow! It contains all of the previously unreleased material from the original live album, and it is outstanding. 80's fanatic 3-26-05, 01:59 AM 'Theme From The Dukes Of Hazzard' :) Diofan 3-27-05, 12:36 AM Call me biased at the time, but in the 80's the only country song I liked was the theme to the dukes of hazzard. My parents LOVED Country then (And now they say the new country stinks but still listen to it.) and as a Metal Addicted teen, naturally rebelled against the whole Cowboy thing. john cantos 4-02-05, 10:45 AM Just the Good ol' Boys :thumb: Ugly Kid Jeff72 4-02-05, 03:56 PM I had no clue that Waylon had any other hit than the Dukes theme! :uhoh: Yeeeee...Hawwww! LuckyMomof2Girls 6-26-05, 07:56 PM Hi, My favorite Waylon Jennings hit is Amanda. "Amanda, light of my life. Fate should have made you a gentleman's wife" Christine LRL1981 7-26-05, 04:44 PM No one has mention "Bob Wills is still the king"! So I will! Love that song!!! :bouncy: Although it's not an 80's tune. stlkev70 8-06-05, 05:40 PM Theme from The Dukes Of Hazzard |
