I dunno, maybe this poem by him sucks to everyone else, but I like it. So ha! Thursday, we were playing a game in Improv where you go up on stage and see how long you can entertain the audience. When you get boring, people get up and go to the back of the auditorium. Usually when someone went up, people were soo stupid, and didn't even give the person a chance.
Dan goes up for the second time and he justs starts recting this...
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Robert Frost
You could hear a pin drop. And me over here, Dan's stalker was like "That was cool!"
That is a pretty cool poem. Something to think about.
Robert Frost is one of my favorite poets...along with Shel Silverstein.
Seriously, Fire and Ice is an awesome poem!
Robert Frost is my all-time favorite poet and "Fire & Ice" is a magnificent poem! But my favorite from Frost would be "Stopping By The Woods On A Snowy Evening"! He was a great poet! :)
oh wow
that brings me back to highschool.
that poem was one of my all time favorites.
though no one else cared for it much.
people are so weird, huh?

I read that poem a few years ago....I've always loved Robert Frost, from the time I was a little girl...my Dad taught me "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" and we used to recite it together. Then I recited "The Road Not Taken" (I think that's the name) in 6th grade for public speaking class. I love "Fire & Ice"...it's really a great poem, and really makes you think about the world and life in general. :)
"The Road Not Taken" has always been my favorite poem by Robert Frost. Fire and Ice is pretty cool, too.

My dad likes the Road Not Taken.
The Road Not Taken and Fire And Ice are really good poems. I remember the first time I read Robert Frost. It was like opening a door into a new world. I read the same poems again and again, because they made so much sense to me. Thank you for sharing that story, Shortie Blonde.

Fire an Ice is probably one of the best poems he ever wrote. Short, sweet, and perfectly on the money. One of my all time favs. Hadn't thought bout it in a while. Thanks for the reminder, Shortie-love.
