View Full Version : Favorite Video from a 80's movie JamieStarr 5-04-02, 05:47 AM I know there were millions but try to pick your fave anyways. :) Jasper 5-04-02, 07:27 AM I picked the GOONIES one. I loved Rowdy Roddy Piper. The video was so cool, WAY BACK in the day! I keep finding a reason NOT to buy the DVD release, which has the video on it. I always seem to buy something else. Not the best SONG from a movie but the best, and to me, most entertaining video of the ones you listed. scott28883 5-04-02, 09:22 AM I voted for Ray Parker Jr. Ghostbusters, I really liked the video, some good cameos from actors. A side not. I went to see Ghostbusters Opening night(Friday), when I got home I turned on Mtv and the first video I saw was "Ghostbusters" I thought that was pretty cool. Trixter 5-05-02, 09:36 AM I'm gonna go off on my own :D and vote for "Crazy For You" by Madonna, it just isn't a list without the Queen of Pop! :) 80sTrivia 5-05-02, 09:48 AM I voted for Simple Mind's classic "Don't You Forget About Me". It's a great video even with the clips from the Breakfast Club! :thumb: Iluvthe80s 5-05-02, 10:59 AM I voted for "Ghostbusters". Not my favorite song, but the video was pretty cool. Dancingdoll1986 5-05-02, 11:05 AM I went with Irene Cara's What a Feeling!! I loved that movie!!! LOVED LOVED LOVED!!!! I remember my dance instructor went to see it before I did, and that she was appalled by it, and walked out in the middle of it!!! I knew then I HAD to see it!!! angeleyes25 5-05-02, 04:18 PM I voted for "Who You Gonna Call?Ghostbusters!" BlitzKid 5-06-02, 04:50 AM Take my breath away, because of memory reason again. :) I even played with the thought to get that blond - black hairstyle myself. ImSoooSure 5-07-02, 01:53 AM I voted for Footloose. The song and video are so fun and upbeat. Crazy For You is a good one to add Trixter!:) TopCat 5-08-02, 06:23 AM Berlin - TAKE MY BREATH AWAY / TOP GUN. So it's a love song but I like it :p LOL (one of the few ;) ) sassy 5-08-02, 09:39 AM I have to go with Simple Minds since I loved the movie :D Dawn 5-26-02, 01:50 AM Loved the "Footloose" video. "What a Feeling" was a close 2nd. Pippi 5-26-02, 01:52 AM I voted for The Goonies video with Cindy Lauper. I also liked Ghostbusters and Don't You Forget About Me. Shortie Blonde 5-26-02, 01:59 AM Don't You Forget About Me. ElectricYouth 5-29-02, 12:52 PM Mine is a tie between Cyndi Lauper "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough" and Pat Benatar's "Invincible" because both were awesome videos. Sheibub 6-01-02, 01:11 AM Footloose... Ghostbusters comes equal second to Don't You Forget About Me... Femmetal 6-02-02, 07:52 PM Voted for Dokken's "Dream Warriors"! Harket 6-09-02, 08:25 AM Berlin - TAKE MY BREATH AWAY ;) Jazzmyn 6-11-02, 03:33 AM Dream Warriors on this one. Great movie and great song. Roemello 6-11-02, 04:16 AM Goonies 'R Good Enough was a riot with the 80's wrestlers and all (got that on the DVD :D ), but Dream Warriors stands out for me...loved the Nightmare series no matter how cheesy it got and the video with Krueger was cool, so there it is  Also take into consideration I don't remember all these videos very well... Think I need to revisit Launch :p Prefab Sprouter 6-20-02, 12:29 PM I went for Fine Young Cannibals! TriageRN 6-23-02, 01:05 PM I loved the movie at the time..then saw it too many times...but I loved "Weird Science" by Oingo Boingo from the movie of the same title. Elfmans crazy eyes simply had me thinking "what is this guy thinking about..hmmmm?!?!?" After that would of been Ghost Busters, cause I giggled at the cameos! surfnut 6-25-02, 08:54 PM That was kind of tough, I have to admit I had my Heavy Metal fase so I wanted to go with Dokken. I mean... you can't get that song out of your head!! "Who ya gonna call?!" Satori 8-09-02, 02:02 AM Simple Minds - easy, however, Berlin was a close second. They really surprised me with "Take My Breath Away", it's a beautiful song... iloveknightrider 8-30-02, 11:33 AM My vote went to Footloose. cherylh 8-30-02, 12:11 PM i would have to agree with the crazy for you, madonna song, in the movie seeking susan!! great movie, songs can get the hormones moving!:D Overkill 9-04-02, 10:10 AM Damn this is such a hard one! I had to pick Dokken from Nightmare On Elm Street 3 'cause it's my fave elm street movie and probably (besides the lost boys/empire strikes back/indiana jones) my most watched movie of the 80's.. but damn!! Pet Cemetary and Goonies R Good Enough were a sliver for seconds!! whistledog 11-27-04, 02:18 PM FYC gets my vote. I love everything about Something Wild.
