Do you remember baby Jessica falling down the well in her aunts back yard?
If you don't know what I'm talking about, heres a page with a good basic overview:

Where you in school when it happened? At work? At home? Any particular memories?

That would be right now :)
I'm sure this could've made the news in Denmark in '87, but if it did, I don't remember...

I'm sure you must have heard about the baby in the well Smurf! :p
I don't remember where I was. I do remember being glued to the TV when they showed the firefighter pulling her out. It was actually an emotional moment.
I was living here in Corpus Christi, Texas and remember my family and I watching the coverage on TV and when that firefighter pulled baby Jessica out of that well, all battered and bruised, and everyone was cheering and crying, it was a very emotional moment that was felt throught the whole state, well hell...maybe even the whole world.

I do not remember where I was at the time that that baby was pulled out, but I do remember that I did not pay close attention to it. As far as I was concerned, it had nothing to do with football. Besides, me worrying about it was not going to help in any way.
I remember it. It was on national news and everything, I tried to stay up to watch the whole thing, but I fell asleep. I woke up a little bit afterwards and my mom told me I just missed the firemen pulling baby Jessica out of the well.
I remember wondering why they were making such a big deal out of it.
I guess the guy that rescued her committed suicide later on?
Yup...that's what happened. I wrote an article about this on my web site last year. I think back in 1995 one of the main guys who worked on the rescue killed himself. Supposedly the whole ordeal just overwhelmed him.
What I don't get is it took 7 or 8 years... not that I'm glad he's dead, but that's LONG time for something to really get to you.
