Hey Y'all,

Fans of "G-Force" or a.k.a. "Battle Of The Planets, volumes 5 and 6 are on their way to DVD. Now the series is 6 discs long and 12 episodes have been released. I wish they would just release it by seasons, it would be cheaper....ooops that's why they aren't!

I don't remember too much about this cartoon, but I do remember that I loved it. :) I can't remember if I saw it when it first came out, because I was 1 years old back then in the late '70s. I probably saw it in reruns in the early '80s, anyway this is a show that drove me bonkers. I talk to so many people about this show, and hardly anyone seems to remember it. It may have come out in 1978, but the approach was so very '80s. i.e., kids wearing those bird costumes with cool weapons and high tech stuff. G-Force: Battle of the Planets was basically a precursor to famous '80s toons like Transformers or Robotech.

If there's a DVD release, I'll be sure to pick it up! :thumb:

Awesome, Vincent! Someone who appreciates the show like me! I was totally amazed and blown away by this show. Ya know how people are obsessed with "Transformers", well this was my obsession. :thumb: There are 6 volumes of DVD's out there with only two episodes on each disc. :( However, my concern lies in the fact that there were two different audio voiceover tracks. I want the original where the youngest G-Force member talks with his "b'duh bing" comments at the end of his sentences. These are the voiceovers I grew up with and that are endeared to me. I saw an episode with new "Americanized" voiceovers that were deadpan and boring. I'm just not sure what version the DVD's are?

You know, I distinctly recall owning the "BOTP" lunch box in 2nd or 3rd grade , and loving the show. For the life of me though, even after I did some brushing-up on the storyline online,
I can't ever remember actually WATCHING any of the episodes. I might have to pick up a couple of these DVDs to see if it sparks a memory.

Thanks for the "heads-up" Trixter! :p

Now THIS was a cartoon That I loved when it was first showed it when I was in the 3rd grade. We hadn't gotten cable yet but fortunately i was able to watch this show whenever I had the chance. I understand they re-released it as G-Force in the early 90's and redubbed the voices and the result wasn't the same. I haven't had achance to see the G-Force version yet. Anyhow ias a kid i loved it!red :)
