John Cougar Mellencamp
(Reviewed by Trixter):
1983 John Cougar Mellencamp, America's rebellious son, released his most
insightful and mature album to date. His trademark American folk rock
sound and strongly worded lyrics helped convey his messages of poverty,
racism, equality and pride. John Cougar Mellencamp makes his own visions
and experiences of the Heartland the listeners. We can relate to his lyrics
in "Pink Houses", we are those everyday, common people that
make the up the fabric of America, be it pretty or not.
Mr. Mellencamp is a true artist that stands firm for what he believes
in and makes no apologies for those beliefs!
He is still goin' strong today!

one of his best albums. It has been one of those albums that has stood
the test of time and is a true classic! My favorite song on there has
to be "Crumblin' Down".
