Question 80's hand held games you still own

Don't know if anyone has done a thread on this but here goes.......What 80's hand held games do you still own and do they still work?

We had a superbowl party onSuperbowl Sunday. My pal D-Rock, fellow xchanger, was there. I surprised him with my Merlin and Simon. I'll admit the Simon is new but the Merlin is an original.

I also have my rubiks cube rubiks pyramid and missing link. Okay, they're not really hand held games in the same sense as the electronic ones but they're still cool.

Anyone remember the miniature arcade games that fit on your table top. I remember the Donkey Kong and Pacman ones. They looked just like a full size arcade game but were small enough to fit in your hands or on a table.

space-invader has no reputation... yet
i still got a battlestar galactica game from about 1980 and still works

there would be 3 columns that the baddies would go down from the top, usually changing colums on their way down...only 1 or 2 at a time would go down. while you at the bottom would shoot em as their comin down, but if the hit you while your at the bottom you die. graphics consisted of little red lines (and that's it)

the original ping pong game had more sophisticated graphics than this so were talkin really high tech stuff!!

I had and still have Space Invaders. It's a larger black hand held with red graphics, just like the arcade game.

I also had 'Octopus', this was a miniature hand-held from Japan. A deep see diver has to retrieve treasure from a chest at the bottom of the sea, but has to avoid getting caught up in the octopus' tentacles.

These games provided hours of enjoyment!!

Oh my!!! Battle Star Galactica! That was one of my favorite shows from the 80's until that stupid mechanical dog that belonged to the little boy came along. I liked the Cylons. They were cool. Have some original collectors cards from the show too. Talk about scary.

I forgot that my parents might still have the Atari game system we used to play with. I think the games are in their attic too. I'll have to call them this weekend and see if they still have this stuff so I can have them. Wonder if it still works. My favorite Atari game was asteroids. We used to play it until the plug for the game system that plugged into the wall outlet was almost too hot to touch. Night Driver was my other favorite.

I still have "Merlin" and "Yacht". "Yacht" was a handheld "Yahtzee" game.

My cousin used to have the table top version of Galaga, arguably, one of the best shoot-em-up games ever!

Wink

Well, my personal favorite handheld game from the 80s was Split Second. It had 7 games you could play on it. I wish I still had it. I went through the Maze and Invisible Maze in record time.
