It's always cool to see what others are listening to because it can introduce otherwise unheard of bands that may be of interest. I've been listening to the following bands: Torch In Flames Crematory Edge Of Sanity Flotsam And Jetsam Savage Steel and some compilation cds out of Rock Hard Magazine
Okay, let's see.. I know two bands from that list. Flotsam and Jetsam and Savage Steel. Now, believe it or not, I've heard one Flotsam song and none from Savage Steele. hehe Funny, right? Well, none of my friends are/were metalheads. It was just me so I didn't get to hear a real lot. I'll post a message in the General section about my music past.
Hi, Not Man.. Welcome to the site.. What's Metallium? And I'm glad to see you like the old Anthrax.. They was one of my favorites as well - before Joe left...
Metallium is a new band that I guess you would consider power metal in the style of Hammerfall, Helloween. They did a killer cover of Accept's "Burning".
Hmm. I haven't heard any Helloween or Hammerfall either. But I've heard OF Helloween. hehe The only Helloween I know of is King Diamond's Fatal Portrait album. I do have some serious catching up to do before it's too late!
Which CD do you have? I will tell you whether it was one of his good ones. I'm sure I can hook you up with atleast one that you like. They are usually about one particular story. Especially "Them" and "Conspiracy". They were two albums about a year apart that had to do with one same story...
Okay, let's see.. "Them" was one of my favorites. "Conspiracy" is the conclusion to the story. "The Dark Sides" was just alittle something to follow up "Them". It wasn't really a serious album. Just some old stuff put together and a couple of wierd new things. Probably my favorite King Diamond album would be "The Eye". Mercyful Fate has had a couple of great albums (King Diamond is the vocalist) in the recent past. Hmm. "Spider's Lullabye" is another pretty good King Diamond album.. Actually.. I would put "Abigail" above even "Them". "Abigail" was probably his best story. Some of his stories are written from real happenings, like Abigail and especially The Eye.
My playlist: Destruction "Sentence of Death + Infernal Overkill" Exumer "Possessed by Fire + Rising from the Sea" Sodom "Code Red" Candlemass "Epicus, Doomicus, Metallicus" Nasty Savage "Abstract Reality" Angel Witch "Angel Witch" Annihilator "Criteria for a Black Widow" Death "Spiritual Healing" Arch Enemy "Burning Bridges" Malevolence "Martyrialized"
Hi, Mordred! Welcome to 80'sXChange. I saw Spiritual Healing on that list! Cool. hehe That looks like a pretty good playlist. You want your own radio station. Don't ya?
Well i'l throw in my 2 cents. my list concists of... Pissing Razors Candera At The gates Howitzer Straping Young Lads Slipknot Witchery Hammerfall Type O Negative Nashville @#%$ and old 70s' prog rock, Yes,Rush,ELP,Kansas and Pink Floyd
Speaking of Strapping Young Lad...Gene has put off a reunion of Dark Angel to continue his work with that band..I'm sort of disappointed but eventually maybe DA will get around to showing their power in the spotlight again. Gene is one helluva musician!
