Okay.. Where did everyone get their names from? I'm curious.. I just use my last name in shortened form... I take Muay Thai Kickboxing so when I write "Claziano" on my gloves and gear it looks cool.. Soughta sounds like Graziano, huh? hehe (in case you didn't know, Rocky Graziano was a great boxer many years ago...)
Hi Everyone.....I'm the newbie here. My name's Bonnie, just call me Bon. Got my name from my crazy boyfriend, partly cause I love Ozzy's Zombie Stomp, but mostly cause every other dang name was already taken. I've been reading some of the posts and you all sound like a cool bunch of people who share my love of the 80's.
I took my username from my favorite metal band <img src=http://www.netexp.net/~delpi/anthrax_logo.gif> (pre-Bush) They had a character called "The Not Man". I thought it would be cool to use it. Hey Sal.....That is some intense kickboxing you do. I've seen some matches on ESPN. Wasn't that what the movie Bloodsport with Jean Claude VanDamme based on?
Hi, Bon! And welcome! This certainly is a great bunch of people here.. But what would you expect from a crowd of 80's people? It's great to have another one of 'us'. I hope you're around often... Did you know that if you had registered LOCALLY you could have used whatever name you liked? If you'd like, you can create a new account and sign on as LOCAL. Otherwise, Notman. I've always wondered where Anthrax got that name from - Notman. What is he? Who is he? What does he do? Any ideas? hehe Otherwise, yes, Muay Thai kickboxing is pretty rough. The difference between Muay Thai and regular Kickboxing is #1 Conditioning (A whole 'nother ballgame), #2 the use of knees and elbows (highly illegal in the regular kickboxing sport), and #3 - well, you get beat up alot more. Are you interested in any martial arts? They're a really great thing when you're disiplined... I've taken Tae Kwon Do (it's okay), Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (very rough ground fighting), and Wing Chun Kung Fu! Wing Chun is amazing! I don't think I'll be taking Wing Chun anymore, though, because I have very limited time these days. It's unfortunate because it's one of the most interesting martial arts you could ever learn...
My nick Ayesakara comes from my Poison Powerchick character. *LOL* A lot of us Poison fans go to this chatroom on DALnet called #PoisonTalk every Wed night at 9 pm EST. Sometime last year, a bunch of us came up with the idea of creating Super-women characters (comic book style of course) of female die-hard Poison fans who would "Live to defend the men they love, i.e. the guys in Poison".... All the girls submitted their ideas of what they wanted THEIR character to do, their special power, physical characteristics etc. and one talented fan among us who's called Katarah (another powerchick, yes) made their very cool drawings and all. She is VERY talented and the artwork is fit to be part of a successful comic series. I came up (with Kat's help) with the name Ayesakara for my Powerchick since my real name is Ayesha, and Ayesakara's characteristics are that she has the power to teleport herself anywhere and she can speak all the languages of the Universe. :-) For a while, no one has spoken about the Powerchicks but most of us still use the nicks, hoping that may be someday we will come up with a storyline and write their story or something. :-) You can check out all the Powerchicks here: <A HREF=http://members.wbs.net/homepages/k/a/t/katarah.html >http://members.wbs.net/homepages/k/a/t/katarah.html </A> Let me know if you can open that link ok..... See ya!!!
Oops, may be she has moved the page. I'll ask her and then post the new URL, whatever that is. If you are interested, you can check out MY Powerchick at my WHO.AM.I section on my Bobby site: <A HREF=http://dall.virtualave.net >http://dall.virtualave.net </A> See ya! :-)
Well, I don't about your country, but in Pakistan, we have a bach. degree in commerce. Its sorta like a business faculty. I majored in the commerce subjects, when I did my bachelors, thats all Is that what you wanted to know about?
Plain and simple i got my name from my background which is greek. And instead of saying The Greek which sounds lame i put Da instead of The infront of Greek. So there you have it Da Greek.
Mirdonamy is the name of my spider. He is no longer alive, but in my signature. I even have a tattoo of him. If you want to learn more about Mirdonamy go to <A HREF=http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/9246/mirdonamy.html >http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum...mirdonamy.html </A> Mirdonamy has become my trademark. I am known by everyone as Mirdonamy, for the essence of my spider lies within my every word and every thought. I have even registered www.mirdonamy.com I miss my spider so much, but he'll never be forgotten.
Okay, Ayesakara. That explains it! Dagreek, I figured that's what it was... And Mirdonamy - that's a cool story - I went and took a look. You never had to worry about Mirdonamy in your bed and rolling over on him or anything? Hehe. Did he always hang out in the same place?
I'm not really sure on this Sal....I'll try to find out what the scoop is on him. I always wanted to take up some form of martial art....but was never to sure on what to take. I mostly rely on the "intimidation" factor. I'm 6'5" and about 325 lbs. If that doesn't work then look out....LOL
Okay, thanks, Notman.. I've always wondered what those "NOT" hats meant in school.. hehe Otherwise, yeee! 6'5" / 325lbs. Big! Now imagine if you took some lessons in martial arts. A few months of Muay Thai or even just regular boxing would do you good forever... But do you need it? Probably not. It's a nice feeling to know it though...
Mirdonamy lived on my ceiling. He never really visited the floor, bed or walls. He had a web in the corner of my room that he guarded well. I felt safe from mosquitos and other creepies while he was around. I was always upset to go to sleep if I didn't see him. I guess I am lucky to have such a love for spiders. They are such wonderful things!
Well over a year...but he'd only come out once in a while...mostly he hid or roamed around. I think he came out each day, but I wasn't around to see. I only saw him around for about 7 months myself (if you added the time up)...somehow
