We didn't call our dance Prom but I guess it would be the same thing. The Grad Song was what was played when we walked in the gym for diplomas (that would be Years From Now by Dr.Hook)
We had a live band for our Grad Dance but I remember them playing Almost Paradise by Mike Reno (of Loverboy) and Ann Wilson (of Heart),and Schools Out by Alice Cooper.

Lean on Me. That cover version from 1987. *I* didn't vote for it.

our prom theme was "tender is the night" by jackson browne. like mrmiata, no one asked my opinion, either.

but at our grad nite at disneyland, one of the bands performing was Sparks!! Very cool...very 80's. but they (d.land) wouldn't let them sing "all you ever think about is sex". too funny.

"never say goodbye" by Bon Jovi was my class' Prom Song. Unfortunately that silly suspension kept me from attending.

The next one I went to, with that bitch whore who ruined the middle 8 years of my life, that Prom song was Genesis' "One more night" And the shitty band they had there didnt even know the song. They played all cover songs, tehn when it was time to play that one song, THE prom song, they put it on a shitty record player! What a load of crap!

Ok, for my Junior Prom, we had the Lamest theme.......La Isla Bonita! I was so ticked when they announced it. I think that a committee of about 5 voted for it. It ended up being such a dull night.
