I'd love to attend this concert... is round-trip airfare included in the price, Damned? ;) I love all of the performers in this line-up. It's too bad that Adam Ant had to pull out... I'm assuming it's because of his recent legal woes? Good luck on selling the tix, I'm sure someone will snatch them up!!! :)
"legal battles"....hmmmm drugged up to eyeballs by the look of him in the paper over the weekend.
shame, as it would have been good, but still will be okay with the likes of ABC.

"is round-trip airfare included in the price"
Yes, I was really disappointed when I heard he'd dropped out. I was about to book the tix, then he got arrested and sectioned. But I'd heard he was still going to perform - so I booked. :( I was in two minds as to still go or not, but I just couldn't stand the thoughts of sitting through some of the other acts (no offence to anyone, but I can't stand Tony Hadley!)
Anyway, I just hope he gets well soon.

I am actually attending the Here and Now Concert in London next Thursday. Of course I was not happy about Adam pulling out but still I am looking forward to seeing the whole concert as i like manư of these artists. Is anyone else here going to the London gig?
LOL. I just listed Toyah as one of my 80s crushes. Would love to see her now.
That actually looks like a fun show. I haven't even thought about China Crisis in yonks.
Have fun Blitz (and whoever gets Damned's tickets) :)

Hey, just came back from my trip to London, and i have to say, the Here and Now concert was incredible! All of these performers have great voices!
The first on stage were China Crises, but i just knew one of there songs, still, very melodic and nice music. Toyah was next, again i am not too familiar with her work and just knew "It's a mystery". Gosh, this skirt was extremly short!! :) After Toyah Go West came on stage and got even the last peopple sitting out of their chairs performing Call me, King of wishfull thinking, and of course We close our eyes.
Then it was time for Howard Jones, what a great performer!! He sang some of his greatest hits like Things can only get better, Like to get to know you well, New song and What is Love.
Belinda Carlisle was next. I have to admit, i never disliked her but i also never really bought her stuff. But she convinced me, she is a charming person and I really liked her show. She sang The same thing, Circle in the sand, Leave a light on and Heaven is a place on earth.
Finally it was time for ABC, i was really looking forward to them! They started with Poison Arrow, let the audiance sing along to When Smokey sings, now my memory has a gap but i do rember they sang a slow song, i think its called all of my heart. I should start making lists of what songs are done immedeatly after the concerts so i dont forget half of it! Martin left stage to change cloth and came bacl to perform look of love in the well known golden suit.
Spandau Ballet, or better 3/5 of what used to be Spandau, Tony, Steve and John were the last gig. They started with To cut a long story short, went on with I'll fly for you, Lifeline, Highly strung, Chant Nr. 1 and Instinction. Last songs of course were True and Gold and the crowd sang along. Sorry damned1976, but i really do like them, Tony is a nice guy! ;)
Still, i wished Adam Ant would be there as well but even without him it was superb! Hope i didn't bore you too much with my enthusiastic review!
