The Pointer Sisters racked up quite a few Top Ten hits back in the 80s. Which song would you rate as your favorite?

This was tough, I like all those songs and more. I went with "He's so Shy"

I voted for "I'm So Excited".

Neutron Dance. Great song from the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack.

I voted for "Automatic"... hearing it on DJ's show the other night made me remember how I really liked this song. I remember the first time I heard it, I thought it was a man singing! Ruth Pointer had a killer baritone in this song!!! :lol:

I voted for "Automatic" but this was a tough decision. The song "hes so shy" along with The little river bands song "lonesome loser" are two of my theme songs.:goofy:

My vote goes to "I'm So Excited". I remember watching Kelly, Jessie, and Lisa sing it on "Saved By The Bell". :D

I'm So Excited is my favorite, followed by Neutron Dance. Both songs want to make you get up and dance!:dance:

I went for "Slow Hand". Used to hate this song when it first came out, but now it's my favourite of theirs. Tough poll though.

I voted for "I'm So Excited" but I could have just as easily voted for "Jump (for my love)", both were great songs by the Pointer Sisters.

I went with the Bruce Springsteen penned "Fire". "A Romeo and Juliet, Sampson and Delilah......oooh when we kiss, Fire!"

I have never been a huge Pointer Sisters fan but I do like He's So Shy a lot.

Not surprisingly, "I'm So Excited" is in the lead in this poll (it's a great 80s happy/dance tune!)... I am a little surprised that no one has voted for "Jump (For My Love)", which was a No. 1 hit for the Pointers in 1984 and was the theme song for the Olympic Games in LA that year! :)

Arrrgh! I chose 'Automatic' but then saw 'I'm So Excited' later on in the list....:rolleyes:

I love 'Automatic' and 'I'm So Excited' always reminds me of Chevy Chase and Christine Brinkley in 'National Lampoons Vacation' :thumb:

I guess "I'm So Excited" is so popular because it is in that commercial for that kiddie car! My little niece and nephew love that commercial (mainly because they want the car) and they do a little dance when it comes on the tv! :dance:

Jump (For My Love). Anyone remember the song being used in NBA commercials?? BTW-The Pointer Sisters added (For My Love) to the title so it wouldn't get confused with Van Halen's Jump, which was out at the same time.

3rd place - i'm so excited (somehow, this hook doesnt' get tiring... when it was the HBO theme song, i hummed along every time)

2nd place - slow hand (never ever get tired of this one... when it was used in a shaving/razor commercial, i hummed along every time)

1st place (by the narrowest of margins) - he's so shy (pretty close to perfect, and immortalized in the episode of 'the love boat', where issac wanted to enter the talent contest, but had stage fright, and could only sing in the shower... so, they put him onstage w/ a shower cap inside a makeshift showerstall)
