READ THIS FIRST BEFORE VOTING!!!

okay that blue guy with the green hair :D posted an interesting poll which kinda confused a couple of people

now i'm gunna confuse you some more :)

it's the same list (+ don't you forget about me)
the REAL difference is i am NOT asking you which is your favorite song, i'm asking:

WHICH OF THESE SONGS DO YOU RECOGNIZE, AND KNOW THE TUNE BY JUST LOOKING AT THE SONG TITLE

CLICK AS MANY AS YOU WANT

EXAMPLE:
i can only recognize Alive and kicking and Don't you forget about me....i probably know a few of the others if i heard them again, but at this stage i would only know the 2

I chose "Don't You Forget About Me" and "Alive And Kicking". There is also another song not on this list or the other list that I have heard and that is "Sanctify Yourself".

I recognized "Alive and Kicking" and DYFAM". I remember "Sanctify Yourself" as well and thought it was a good song.

Ok, I added Sanctify to it since I'm sure many are gonna recognize that one....as I do :) Those are my two, 'Don't you forget about me' and 'Sanctify Yourself'

The votes of Stacy and lostboy for Sanctify are recorded in too :)

Don't You Forget About Me
Alive And Kicking
Sanctify Yourself

I may know some of the others if I heard them, but these are the ones I recognise by name.

For some reason I often confuse these guys with "Mental as Anything". When 80sSmurf did that other poll I was wondering why "Live it up" and "Rock n Roll Music" were not on the poll. Then when I did some browsing on the web, I realised I was getting the groups mixed up once again!

I have Simple Minds Greatest Hits on CD, so I recognized almost all of the songs listed in this poll by name!

Being an alternative/new wave fan, I am aware of most Simple Minds songs. I am aware of 'Belfast Child', but I don't think I've ever heard it, so I didn't select that one. I know nothing about 'Someone somewhere in summertime' or 'Mandela Day'. I know, and enjoy, the rest. Other Simple Minds songs I've heard and like are 'Promised You A Miracle', 'All The Things She Said' and 'Love Song'.

I ticked all of them since I have been listening to Simple Minds for 16-17 years. I really like Jim Kerr's voice and the way their songs are build up musically.

These are the only three I recognize by name. I've heard others, but couldn't recognize them unless I heard them again.

I know and could hum the tune to "Don't you...", Alive and kicking", and "Sanctify yourself". I recoginize the titles "Waterfront" and "Belfast child" but I can't hum them off hand.

Doh!!! I recognise all of them but only clicked "Sanctify Yourself" as it was my favourite. I used to work out with Jim Kerr when he lived in Ireland and he was a really cool guy!

I now know them all, but the ones that I remember from being played on the radio in the 80's (off your list):
Don't You (Forget About Me)
Waterfront
Alive and Kicking

missing ones were:
Love Song
All the Things She Said

I clicked every single song, because I know everyone of them listed. I am a Simple Minds fan.

I highly recommend anyone to pick up their CD Glittering Prize or even their Greatest Hits CD which consists of a 2CD set. Some great music there.
