What was your favourite David Bowie Single of the eighties. I find his songs tend to ggrow on you, he has such a great singing voice that they just tend to stay in your head and become great songs.

I think this is going to be a difficult poll.

Bowie is definitely an aquired taste I think. I never really liked him at first and all though I am no where near a fan, I do enjoy some of his music.

My all time favourite of his would be "Sorrow".

"This is not America", maybe because of the special touch that the Pat Metheny Group gives to this song. Another "best one" for me: "Blue Jean".

I was more into 70s Bowie. I would go with "Never Let Me Down" from 1987.

This poll got me to think about the flik "Kristiane F" I know it's not 80s, but it's till a very good movie indeed...and Bowie or actually Ziggy Stardust is in it :)

I went with Ashes To Ashes. It's the closest to my fave Bowie sounds of the Heroes, Low, Lodger period.

He lost me a little in the mid 80s. I still liked his stuff but it wasn't quite as interesting and unique as some of his other work. He picked it up again though with stuff like Time Will Crawl.

Smurfy's right about Christiane F. :) But then he already knew that. lol

Brilliant soundtrack. Look Back in Anger is probably still my absolute fave Bowie Song. Or maybe it's Heroes. Actually, it could be Station to Station. Ah, bugger. Most of them. :D

I'm with 80s hair and have to say that I loved "Never Let Me Down" and I also loved the Video. Reminds me of the film "They Shoot Horses Dont They?"

This one was tough. I could have voted for anyone of them, since I pretty much like everything Bowie ever did. I voted for This Is Not America.

I voted "Others" but Im not sure if it's an 80s song or even a single. The song I think of is "Heroes" - I really love that song :D If it's not correct in this poll, then I would go for "Ashes To Ashes" :)

Oops! I screwed up and clicked on Other! I meant "Ashes To Ashes" (1980)! THAT is his best single of the 80s. It's a classic intro and a classic 80s song, period!

I missed this poll somehow earlier...I bought Bowie's Greatest Hits last week and it has not left my stereo. Bowie has grown on me and recently I have been really getting into his music. My favorite from this list is "Other" Blue Jean is a great song.

'ashes to ashes' is his best song (only slightly, but w/o hesitation), but the LP version is diminished by the added bits. the single version (can be found on changes II) is perfect.

regrets already, cuz it seems criminal to single out 1 bowie tune over the scores of other possibilities. i get a huge rise out of what would probably be 40th on the list.

obviously a huge bowie fan; the only VH1 Top 100 list that i ever saluted was when they named him highly on Most Influential. what an artist.
