Pick your favorite 80's Fixx song. This was really tough because they had so many great songs. "Deeper And Deeper" has to be my favorite. This song appeared on the Streets Of Fire soundtrack.

I voted for "Saved By Zero", even though I did also enjoy "One Thing Leads to Another" and "Are We Ourselves" very much! :)

I voted for 'Saved By Zero', which is used in a recent credit card commercial. 'Red Skies' would be next. What a great group.

From the only two songs I know, I had chosen "other" resp. "Less Cities, More Moving People". The other song is "One Thing Leads To Another"...sorry, but there´s somehow a magical barrier inside my head which is always saying "The Fixx is not that big thing for you, buddy" whenever I had tried to get access to their works.

Very difficult for me to choose on this one, but I went with "Secret Separation". "One Thing Leads to Another" is a close second, and I love "Less Cities, More Moving People" too.

Secret Separation because it's slower tempo yet gloomy sounding.
It almost made me tear up.
I remember going away from home for a week to a Summer Camp in '86 and when my father picked me up when it was over, that was the 1st song I heard on Dick Clark's top 40.

This was hard because I really like Red Skies, but I am a little tired of it by now.

I voted for Running.

being a BIG fan of the movie 'Streets of Fire', i must say Deeper and Deeper.

But other than that, i really enjoyed each Fixx song equally. I couldn't really chose which one (*cough* Are We Ourselves *cough*) would overshadow all of the others to become a favourite. They are all favourites in their own way

Stand Or Fall for me, what a new wave classic! Cool and very recognizable guitar-intro, that's greatness as well.

What's not to love about The Fixx? I chose Saved By Zero purely for the good memories I have of dancing to it in my teens at Skoochies in Seattle. :yesnod:

I love Red Skies. It wasn't a hit here in nl, but got some airplay. I recorded it on casette and played it over and over, but never knew wich band it was. I found this out a few years ago thanks to Mr Google.

Btw, did you know you can play almost the entire song Red Skies on the four OPEN strings of a bass guitar? Except for the intermezzo played in F# if memory serves me right...

There was no way I could make up my mind between "Red Skys," "Stand Or Fall," and "Saved By 0. They're all awesome songs.

"Red Skies( At Night)", what a really great song. "Stand Or Fall" is a classic too and only just missed out on the top spot.
