Hey Y'all,

Tanya Tucker has one of the best voices in country music, but this firecracker was a controversial lady in her early fledging years, so what's your favorite song?

Off this list it's: "I won't take less than your love, sweet love, no I won't take less than your love....All the comforts of the world, could never be enough, And I won't take less than your love...."

However, my all time fave is "Spring". I can't believe you forgot to add "San Antonio Stroll" and "DELTA DAWN"!!! I don't care what year, Delta Dawn is her signature tune! Oh, and another song I heard her sing that I love is "Would You Lay With Me".

Still, Trixter, this is a great poll and reminded me that I liked more Tanya Tucker Tunes than I thought I did. :thumb:

Edited to add: I almost forgot, the second tune I like on this list is "Love Me Like You Used To". :D

"Like a tree out in the back yard, that never has been broken by the wind, our love will last a lifetime, it's strong enough to bend..."

Had to vote for "Strong Enough to Bend". For some reason, I find myself singing "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stones)" quite often these days!!! :)

Tough choices! I went with "Love me like you used to"

I chose "Strong Enough To Bend" because I loved that song, but my absolute favorite Tanya Tucker song is from her "Greatest Hits" album, called "My Arms Stay Open All Night"

I'm glad to know that someone else love's Tanya's song "Strong Enought to Bend"! It's such a great, spiritual song and one of Tanya's best, IMHO!!! :)

I voted "other" because my favorite Tanya Tucker song is the beautiful "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane."

I voted for "Highway Robbery", it's a great kick up yer heels song! :thumb: I also like the fact she uses the phrase - 'Scott free' - anything with my name in it, wins with me!

Has anyone seen Tanya lately? The last time I saw her, she'd obviously had quite a bit of work done on her face and she looked a little odd, at least to me. I guess she felt the need to repair some of the damage she'd done to her looks through her years of hard drinking and drugs while with Glenn Campbell. ;)

In fact I have Triv, and you're right she does look odd, just like Jennifer Grey did after she had her work!

There is no way I could choose just one. This gal has been one of my favorite singers forever. I love a lot of her older stuff...Spring, Blood Red And Goin' Down, How Can I Tell Him, her cover of Almost Persuaded, Brown Eyed Handsome Man. I was reading the theories that you guys had about the "work" done on her face and I must say, I agree. Her looks have changed and it seems to be more than just because she is older and more mature. Whatever, she still has a hell of a voice and a hell of a career and I will always be a fan.

Another tune I'm surprised no one mentioned is "What's Your Mama's Name". I just saw an ad for a country hits album that had a tidbit of that song.

"Two Sparrows" and "Love Says They Will" were both great (Love Says is the better one, to me), but both were so overplayed they got annoying.

I did not notice anyone mention her break out song... "DELTA DAWN" unless I missed it.

I remember singing that song when I was a little guy... "several years ago"..

Sorry ValJ... You are so right, when I think of Tanya... I think of Delta Dawn...

( sorry I missed your post)
