Well I just voted, I had forgotten too, but luckily it wasn't for Vanity or Apollonia because it would have been useless! :lol: The clear winner is who I also voted for, Sheila E.!! :thumb: She had a lot of style, was sexy and could play the hell out of those drums!!

Wendy and Lisa were members of the Revolution and had a couple of good songs including 'Waterfall'

I had to go with my girl Sheila E. Man, that girl can play drums like a pro. I do remember Vanity 6 when they did Nasty Girl, which one of my favorite old school songs ever. I also remember Apollonia 6 in Purple Rain.

Never cared for the "Purple One"! Yeah he's a talented musician and song writer no doubt ,but too much of a freak for me! His voice alone is enough to make me cringe! It's like a cat caught in a blender!...No on second thought...That would sound better! :yesnod:

It was a tough choice between Vanity and Shelia E, but I picked Vanity. She needed the vote more. ;)

My vote went to other. In 1991 Prince produced a Dutch band called Lois Lane. He wrote to song for their album Precious. They were also the opening act of his european Nude Tour.

None of the others were more than one hit wonders over here in the uk, Wendy and Lisa however, whilst not as successful, seemed to have a few rather good minor hits and escape from the "protogee of the purple one" banner.
