That's kind of what I thought when I first saw the previews for it. Actually, my thoughts leaned toward "Huh?" & "What the ****?"!

I actually kinda liked it, but not nearly as much as Fight Club. We did the weird movie thing last weekend, all by accident. Some Alan Rickman flick, Fight Club, Being John Malkovich and Liquid Sky. Guaranteed to fry the brain. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Being John Malkovich got off to a slow start, but it was all worth it in the end. Malkovich made the movie. It couldn't have been "Being Patrick Duffy" or "Being Kevin Costner." Not the same.

By the way, Fight Club was the most outstanding movie of last year. The first 20 minutes were pure genius (but the whole thing was classic). You should also read the book.

Fight Club was pretty cool but I wasn't too thrilled with BJM! You're right now, John Malcovich really made the movie what it was... The rest of the crew... Ahh.

malcovich, malcovich. Malcovich, malcovich. Malcovich malcovich?

I laughed so hard during that restaurant scene. I thought the Darryl Hannah - John Cusack fighting over the other girl thing was hilarious.

Call me crazy but I really liked that film. :D

I thought it was funny, too. I have a wierd sense of humor though. :D

It was okay, but I became bored after a while.

It was different..you got to give it credit for that. I thought it was pretty good.

I loved this movie. Very different but entertaining! :)

It was obscure enough to hold my attention. I love Cusack so I've watched all his movies. Not one of his best but some of the parts were very funny :D

I tried watching this because I think Malkovich is a terrific and diverse actor, but halfway through I gave up. It just didn't hold my attention! :(

This movie was just a bit too esoteric for my tastes. I mean, John Malcovich is a brillant actor, but I didn't have any desire to actually get into his head.

I liked this film. I thought it was creative and clever. The off the wall bizzareness of the film is something I wish we had more of.

Plus this film introduced me to John Cusack. I'm still trying to figure out how it was I grew up in the '80s and know everything '80s except John Cusack. How the hell did I miss this guy and not know who he was? I don't know. Mind boggling.

I agree with Trixter....I really didn't care for the movie but I tried (very hard I might add) to stick with it because I enjoy his acting...but gave it up about a fourth of the way through. Do you know that Malcovich is from a town very near mine? Sooo close that our high school basketball & football teams play each other!!
