This group is such a generator of great music, what do you consider to be their best work?

I voted for Blue Monday, it is such a brilliant song and unlike anything else at the time.

It was a tie between "Shell Shock" and "Bizarre Love Triangle", but I ultimately voted for "Shell Shock"! What a kewl song!!! :cool:

"True faith" the whole "Bright lights big city" soundtrack is great! and the video is so funny :) I love New Order

True Faith. I pretty much like most of the New Order stuff. Their latest album is one of the best, if not THE best album of the new millenium so far. :)

Blue Monday get's my vote.I also like the cover that Orgy did to Blue Monday but I still like the orginal version better.

My option has been "Blue monday". It shocked me the first time I listen to, and it still does...

Shell Shock! I have a re-mix that made it my favorite New Order song.

All of them...they did entirely Grade-A stuff during the 80s, so I really can´t favourize a single track of New Order. The track I´m missing here is "5-8-6", since it´s the 'prototype' of their most famous track "Blue Monday".

In honour of TC, pam*, abcmcd and all the other ladies of the xchange, I have chosen "Bizarre Love Triangle". :D :naughty: :lol:

SHELL SHOCK ... most definately...I love the words as well as the music...and then Confusion and Blue Monday really close second and third...

I love the whole of "SUBSTANCE 1987" ...I still play that over and over and never seem to tire of it...when I first got it on tape back in the 80s I wore that darn thing out! haha

I also happen to like "Round and Round" and "Price of Love" an awful lot too...

Had to go with Bizarre Love Triangle. There's one or two other songs I've heard on the list but I can't remember what they sound like. Bizarre Love Triangle is a definite hit with me:)

I actually marked "other". I really like 'Sub-Culture' in it's remixed form from the album Substance 1987.
Of course i like Blue Monday, Shellshock and True Faith too.
Did you know that Blue Monday was written around that famous drum patern when the Manchester lads were playing with their new drum machine?

I voted for "The Perfect Kiss." Their best song, by far :) "Thieves Like Us" and "Regret" come pretty darn close!

this was really hard but i have 3 (with no special order) "True Faith, BLT & Love Vigilantes

Blue Monday 12" Remix ( Various versions...perhaps TOO many?!? ), after that, definitely True Faith or Theives Like Us. As Joy Division, they were in my humble opinion one of the best bands to come out of the post-punk era...though Bernard Albrecht DID carry the banner for the band like i've never seen in another band that has lost it's lead vocalist ( INXS springs to mind for some reason as an example....).

I voted for Bizarre Love Triange. Blissfully reminds me of when I used to hang out at clubs. (And when I could hold my liquor. :D And when I had a part-time night job and didn't have to work full time yet. *Sigh!*)

My vote went to True Faith (just for the video) though I would also have voted for Bizarre Love Triangle, Perfect Kiss, Blue Monday, Confusion or Thieves Like Us (Not on this list)

My favorite wasn't on the list..Vanishing Point. It brings back lovely memories of my 8th grade year.

"True Faith" gets my vote, though I also like "Bizarre Love Triangle."

Had to be Blue Monday - truly breathtaking at the time and only released on 12".

True Faith clinches it for me!! Its much better imho than Blue Monday which has been played to death on Radio :clap:

I was going to say True Faith but then I remembered hearing them in concert playing Anarchy In The UK. An amazing performance.

True Faith has to be my choice, love the Electronic and Monaco albums as well.

It's great to see so many New Order threads, as they were one of my TOP favorite bands.

I can't really say I have only one favorite song of New Order's, however, for the poll I chose 'True Faith'. It is a fabulous song indeed!!! :yesnod:

As far as the 80's go, I always liked the extended dance mix of Bizarre Love Triangle which was the version that became popular in 1986 so I voted for it

As for the whole New Order discography? Their comeback song Crystal in 2001 blew me away. That is one hell of a wicked song :thumb:

From the list it's True Faith :thumb: followed by Blue Monday :clap: although my all time favourite is World In Motion which was England's theme tune for the 1990 World Cup (that's REAL football for any of our American viewers :lol: ).

Without any doubt "true Faith" IS awesome!!!

Had to go with "Bizarre Love Trigngle, but "Perfect Kiss" and "True Faith are awesome as well.

Can't pick any other than "Blue Monday". It was so completely new when it came out, there was nothing quite like it. I'm really more of a Joy Division fan, but I love many New Order songs too. They're definitely one of the most important bands of the 80's, if not The band of the 80's (in competition with The Smiths and Pixies).

I may have put something here before, but I honestly can't remember so I'll write it now. I had to go with Bizarre Love Triangle. That's always been my fave.
