What is the best Rod Stewart song of the 80s?

I'm not a big Rod Stewart fan, but I did like "Infatuation" alot, so it gets my vote! :)

..."Forever Young". The lyrics are very touching and meaningful and I love the video with Rod and the cute little red headed boy!!! :)

I like lots of Rod Stewart's stuff. I voted for other, because Baby Jane is my favorite 80's song.

I love Rod Stewart's music. "Baby Jane" is a close second favorite, but I think "Young Turks" is his best song.:cool:

Stewart was one of my favourite solo artists in the 70s, but I didn't go for a lot of his 80s stuff. But "Young Turks" was brilliant!

I voted for "Forever Young", although my favorite Rod Stewart songs are "Maggie" and "Sailing" (is that the name? it might be called "Rhythm Of My Heart"). I love Rod Stewart's songs. :)

I voted for other as Baby Jane is probably my favourite, but I also liked Every Beat Of My Heart.

I went with Young Turks on this one. Just a great song. Think some of his best stuff was done in the 70's though. :)

Went with Young Turks. The song has a "run-free" beat and tempo to it.

toss up between "Infatuation" & "Love Touch" but chose the latter because I love Holly Knight's works (she {co}wrote "Love Touch".
My vote will be like a tribute to her. :)
Loved Holly Knight & her band's album Device "22b3"- glad I got the reissue 1996 CD before that too went out of print like the 1986 cassette.

My vote went to Infatuation. Love that song, great riff, great horn arrangement.

My other favorite 80s RS recording is People Get Ready, with Jeff Beck.

Just as a bit of trivia, Rod hates the song Love Touch. Says it's the dumbest song he ever recorded.

I really liked that Robert Redford movie Legal Eagles so i will choose Love Touch! That song worked so well in that film! I love the video with Rod dancing on the tables in the courtroom. It kind of reminded me of that music video where Billy Joel is throwing 45's around a courtroom and dancing on musical steps :lol:

I also liked that version of People Get Ready that Rod did with Jeff Beck. It was a near U.S. Top 40 hit in 1985

I went with Lost in You, but I completely forgot about Baby Jane when looking at that list. So, Baby Jane is right up there with it.

I went with "Young Turks" although I could never understand why that was the name of the song. Does anyone know why he named the song that? Doesn't it say "Young hearts be free tonight" in the chorus?
