Yah! That is a classic scary movie of the 80's. Much better than the sequel. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//yucky.gif Good soundtrack also.

How about the other great werewolf movie of the 80's - Wolfen. Now that one really scared the crap out of me. http://www.80sxchange.com/ubb/smilies//eek.gif

This has to be one of my favorite movies of all time! I drive my wife nuts with this, I can pretty much quote the entire movie verbatum!

"I'm sorry I called you a meatloaf, Jack!"

Hey!

American Werewolf is a great movie! I was a total nut for it back in the day. I forgot to include it in my 100 movies list but I still love this flick! The music was great! I have the soundtrack. I think it's rare. I have never seen it since. Had to special order it too. This movie mad e me a fan of John Landis. My favorite character in it is Jack, David's friend. griffin Dunne is hilarious!

I still think that scene when he turns into a werewolf and they are playing "Blue Moon On the Rise" (I think that's the name of the song)is one of the best effects I have ever seen in a movie to this day.

talking about werewolf movies, don't forget the Howling, it didn't have the humour of American Werewolf but it still had the good special effects

DO any of you remember the big thing that was out that year?
I didn't watch werewolf in london on vhs, it was something else but i can't remember the name of it maybe you can help me out here,
it was shapped like a record... you slid it in a machine and it took the record out and all you had was the hard cover. can any of you remember that machine? <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

What year did that movie come out?
I saw it one time at the theatres. And the scene I remember well is when he's in the kitchen before he's changed, and he can't find anything appetising. The song playing,"Don't go 'round tonight, it's bound to take your life..theres a bad moon on the rise" was playing loud in the background. The reason I think I remember that scene is because my eyes went wide when I saw the first nude man in a movie.lol. wow..pretty cool. even if it was from the back.

It was 1981. MorningMyst mentioned that at the top of this thread. She's going to think you're ignoring her Vilji.

Great film. I always loved the joke the old man told in the pub about the U.N. delegates on the plane.

Bad Moon Rising by Credence Clearwater Revival! Excellent bayou rock.
