OK, I'm all thunked out. :D Can you believe I don't have even one RM CD or cassette? :( I am sooooo deprived.

My vote went to "Smoky Mountain Rain", as my parents used to always play this song in the car when we went on family vacations to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg!!! ;)

Ronnie Milsap did so many great songs it would be very hard to choose but I always liked and sang to "Smokey Mountain Rain" a keeps on callin'... Keeps on callin'... my name!

I don't listen to too much country now, but I grew up listening to it. My dad played Ronnie Milsap all the time. I voted for "I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World".:)

Aaaaahh, Ronnie Milsap! The poet of country music! This guy was the shiznit back in the day!

I had to pick, "It was almost Like a Song", because that has to be the most melancholy (but beautiful) song ever written!:(

I've enjoyed Ronnie Milsap's music over the years, especially his peak in the early 80's. I voted for "There's No Gettin' Over Me". This song says it all, the ultimate, 'you're gonna regret it in the end' song! :thumb: A classic!

I know what you mean, Buc...I almost didn't make this poll, because It Was Almost Like A Song used to be my favorite...but since having a child and being married, I like the happier-side-of- life type songs! :)

I went with "Smokey mountain rain" after playing it last night but I like all of his songs including "Stranger in my house" that didn't make the list :)

I chose I Wouldn't Have Missed It For The World but also like a lot of the others as well.

I always thought Ronnie had one of the best, smoothest voices I had ever heard. I saw him in concert in the 80's and he was wonderful.....a great, energetic show...and he even told some funny jokes!

"Stranger In My House" gets my vote, although I like most of what Ronnie records. If it wasn't a duet, however, I would have voted for "Old Folks" which he did with ex-NFL lineman Mike Reid (who I think wrote the song). I'd really like to find a karaoke version of it, but I don't think one is available.
